Ground floor room was chilly, even on an exceptionally warm day. Owner's 2 dogs were sweet and well behaved and clean but not hypoallergenic, which would be a problem for those with allergies.

The property was ok. Due to the proprietor just recovering from illness, there was a lack of evening services ( no evening meals no bar ) I was expecting a reduction on the bill but it didn’t materialise .

Great hospitality! The owner went out of their way to recommend where we should go for a evening meal and made a is a packed lunch from our breakfast. Bedding was soft and clean. Slightly tired and dated. Shame the bar and restuarant is no longer open.

Susan looked out for me supplying antiseptic cream for feet and allowing to stay a bit longer to recover from the previous gruelling day

The host is lovely and kind. My experience was amazing and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the place. Location is perfect to explore Galloway Forest Park.
