DoubleTree by Hilton Libertyville - Mundelein

Hotel was nice staff was nice , would've rate higher but wasn't made aware of parking lot paving and construction around the building prior to my stay , overall always have a great experience but this particular stay was hindered by the mess in the lot and noise in the morning during the day from them working on it .

The staff were great. The hotel was undergoing renovations. The restarant was closed, but they had a makeshift one. The food in the makeshift one was very good. Housekeeping was excellent, so the room was very clean.

we stayed for multiple nights. we had to chase down towels every night.I dont need our room attended to every day, but at least supply enough towels

Needs a good update generally. Seemed clean, but carpet was questionable.

We did not think the breakfast buffet was worth $15.00 a person. The bacon was cold and soggy; the scrambled eggs were cold and clumpy; the sausage was cold; the pancakes were cold and soggy.

Loved the location and the set up of the room. I will definitely look for other DoubleTrees when traveling.

Everything was great accept the breakfast. The restaurant was lovely, clean and staff friendly but the pancakes were hard, eggs cold and the price way too expensive for what you got. We were very disappointed in that because everything else was so good. We wouldn’t recommend having breakfast at the hotel.

Additionally, the only way to turn on the shower (no tub) was to walk in to the shower, turn it on and try to move away from under the cold water that comes out first. Hit with cold water every time. Air conditioning was an old unit in the wall that was very loud. Was hard to sit in the chair with the cold air blowing on me. No outlet anywhere near one side of the bed. One nightstand had a multi-outlet plug but the other side of the bed had nothing, not even a reachable outlet. Overall we were disappointed in our stay here.

They did not get to clean my room until the second day. Not enough housekeeping staff.

Hotel was really clean and eco friendly, and friendly staffs.

Property was a bit of a mess. The weeds needed to be cleaned up out of the landscaping. The hotel could be a beautiful property if it was maintained and updated.

The aesthetic, staff and proximity to everything you needed in town Felt a little older. Still a spacious comfy stay but the hotel could use a small renovation
