Hotel Royal

Location was phenomenal, ~3 minutes from both the train station and the main square; staff exceptionally friendly; room spacious and modern; bed comfy; powerful AC; tea time! No dislikes! Only small thing is there was only a shower wand in the bathtub, with no holder—so I had to hold it with one hand, while showering

Super comfortable rooms. Nice beds. Great location. Our room was not facing the street and was very quiet. The room was cozy and had nice details in the decor so it didn’t feel like every other hotel. Would 100% stay again.

Great Location. Spacious room with smal balcony. Airconditioning and bathtub -- both much appreciated. I would have like some drinking water available in the room.

Very central but also very noisy at night if people are walking around drunk in the street so close to the main square place de la comedie. The bed was with a hard mattress for me.

The location was fantastic and the breakfast has a good variety of options. The wifi did not work so when we tried to use our data, the phones couldn’t pick up a signal.

They put out a small Tea service in the lobby, at no charge. A short walk to Tram one, and also the Gare. Charming lobby/restaurant area.. work space

That it was very close to the place de la comédie and to the train station. That it is very difficult to access with private car.

It is very close to the center of town, the theatres and restaurants. Difficult to find on Waze and Google Maps. It is situated on an inaccessible street by car. Parked car at the train station (5-10 minutes walk)

The hotel is really well located, so it is a short walking distance to all the interesting places and restaurants in town. The hotel was also very clean, and having free coffee and water at the lobby was a really nice touch. However, what made this visit great was the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe. The hotel room was really small and the bathroom could use some TLC. There was no safe in the room, although they have a safe for guests to use near the lobby.

The front desk staff are really excellent. Super friendly, attentive and helpful. The lobby area for sipping coffee and having an afternoon snack is lovely. The mattress is not the most comfortable - a bit too firm.

The location was fantastic, close walking distance to all the top places and restaurants, stores and pharmacies. The coffee provided was top notch. We did not eat the breakfast, but they had a great selection. We were able to drop our bags and explore until our room was ready. Plus they got us in early! No complaints

Located in-between the train station and the old part of Montpellier, the hotel is perfect for exploring the city. Nice staff. The breakfast was OK, and if you happen to be in the hotel between 16:00 and 18:00 you would be treated with complementary coffee/tea, cake and croissants. The room was quiet despite the windows overlooking the street and had all one needs for a short stay. Comfortable beds. This is an old-style hotel which is exactly what I like. The room looked a bit worn-out. And smelled like that.

The room was peaceful, clean and a good size. The location was very convenient and the staff were truly always helpful. The breakfast and teatime on offer was sincerely always fabulous. We were very happy with our stay here.
