I usually don’t write reviews. But this was worthy of one. The Sleep Inn is in need of major updates and basic maintenance. Needs better cleaning practices. Our room carpet was filthy and sticky. The bathroom shower curtain had visible mold on it. The air conditioner cover completely fell off. Blankets were ripped. Plus other things. Front desk was pleasant. Pool/Game room staff need training on how to look up from their phones. Only two upsides to Sleep Inn is that it is connected to the Dakota Square mall and its buffet breakfast.

Clean and quiet room. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Bed was comfortable.

We stayed there specifically for the water park. When we got there we were told that it was closed and the pool was only open if there was a lifeguard. Nowhere on the listing/website does it say the slides were out of order. Had some very disappointing kids.

My daughter and I came to Minot for a quick trip before school starts to visit the zoo and do a little exploring. We chose this hotel specifically — and solely — because of the waterslides. Unfortunately, when we checked in, we were told the waterslides were closed. When I asked how long they would be down, I was told they were permanently closed because they require too much maintenance. That was incredibly disappointing, especially after arriving with a child who was excited to use them. If an advertised amenity like this is permanently closed, I really believe that needs to be made very clear to families before they book and arrive. It would save both parents and children a lot of disappointment. The main pool was also closed during our stay and appeared extremely dirty. The only water options available were the small children’s pool and hot tub. The entire pool and hot tub area looked very worn, with significant rust and an overall lack of upkeep. My daughter is an avid swimmer and swimming has been one of her favorite parts of virtually every hotel and resort we’ve visited. This was the first time she looked at a hotel pool area and told me she didn’t want to get in the water. I travel quite a bit and am a Hilton Honors member, and I’ve also stayed at nearly all of the Sandals properties throughout the Caribbean. I can genuinely say I have rarely encountered a property that felt this run-down. T

Dusty Waterslides down And the kiddie area for the water park was rusty. Definitely needs some updates

We booked our one night stay the same day and didn’t see the message we got from the property that the water park is really not operational. The main pool and slides are shut down permanently. The hot tub was just warm our kids said and only the small kids area was open. The hotel was clean enough but very dated at this point and we didn’t want to use the pull out couch as it was pretty stained and gross. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was ok. For the price we paid (and were upgraded for no cost which we really appreciated) we should not have expected too much. Our stay was ok but next time we go back we will likely make sure to pay attention to the e hotel pools on their main website to ensure they are operational.

The pool/water park area would have been so nice in its hay day. Today it was run down and needed maintenance. The hot tub was huge but the tiles were falling off and rusted. The kiddie area and pool were nice sized. Again, paint chipping, pool needing resurfacing. The slides were out of order for maintenance. The hotel itself was in need of updating and general maintenance. Everything was banged up. The initial room stunk of dog pee and the second room was musty but barable. The shower was new but small. The linens were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. Location was in a great shopping area.

Room smelled musty, older bathroom, bathroom door was swelled so didn’t shut

Waterslides not working. Activity pool closed for parts of the day every day. Rooms humid and smelly, did not get cleaned during the day. Not enough towels. Staff very friendly and helpful, just not enough workers for a hotel that size. Definitely needs more staff in the evenings (the lady at the front desk was washing and folding towels). Breakfast really poor, no fresh or “clean” unprocessed options except for apples (no real eggs, nuts, dried fruit, the only yoghurt was sugary). We come to Minot once a year, we always stayed here. Not coming to this hotel anytime soon.

Good location was only benefit. Room and hotel was dirty and falling apart.
-
Rooms were clean but had a musty smell to them.
-
The room had carpet that had rolls in it and when I walked across the floor, my sock bottoms became filthy. One of our keys would not work and the front desk fix d it, but it only worked for one swipe. I tried to get it fixed later, but another person got in line to get hers fixed before me. She also had lengthy complaints about loud neighbors who all had their doors open to each other. So I left. While standing in line to get it fixed again the next morning, two staff members behind the desk visited with each other. Another person was filling out paperwork, but they didn’t acknowledge me at all.

Room was not very clean. Dirty sheets, hallways filthy. Garbage can full for two days in hallways. Just a run down hotel.

This once was an amazing hotel with the water park and shopping mall attached to it. Now it’s run down, stains on all the walls, rugs wore out and filthy, beds totally worn out, water slides not working….For $200+ a night it definitely is a rip off.

Staff was good but the room above us was being a holes banging all night staff tried to get them to stop management came in and dealt with it so our concerns were resolved
-
Had stains in the carpet. AC didn’t want to work. Lights had burnt out bulbs. Couldn’t use the water slide.
-
The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the slides not being open at the pool since we were very excited about that when we found the place and it wasn’t quite cold in our room but we were able to adapt but we would have prefer a cold room.
-
Spent a very high dollar during state fair specifically for the pool. And they were closed. And only let our 4 person room have one towel a day
-
The staff was friendly. The room was clean, however, the hallways were not well kept, and the lounge areas were run down. Breakfast was good! The water slides are shut down, which was very disappointing and the main reason we chose that hotel.

The staff was amazing!
