About Gensen Itto Minamiizu
This is a traditional Japanese Ryokan surrounded by a bamboo grove beside the Aono River. There are 21 types of hot spring baths around the garden. This ryokan features a hot spring with 440 years of history. For meals, local Minami-Izu seafood and vegetables are served. This property features self-contained accommodation units in a great atmosphere. Each unit has complete amenities. The private baths are great! The actual building of the rooms is a bit sad and from another time. It needs a lot of updates to make it really something I’d recommend to anyone. We had dinner and breakfast but skipped some of the food because it wasn’t very appetizing. Dinner service was friendly but rather express and it wasn’t about a relaxing and special experience.
