The concierge Alexandra was extremely helpful, personable, accommodating. The bar tenders were great and easy to talk to. On our last evening, we have to request to have our rooms cleaned not once by twice. And the housekeepers were next door to our room or on the same floor each time. Also there was an older gentleman concierge that wasn't as helpful. Also they were not familiar with VAT and provided us wrong information when departing Italy for Switzerland. Lots of people buy designer items with knowing about VAT taxes, where to complete the documentation, etc. They should know better. And for their knowledge, at the Tirano train station before boarding the Bernina Express, there is a tax office that took care of our VAT claim.

Nothing Un hotel a cinque stelle, ma non ne merita nemmeno una. Servizio pessimo e tutto il resto lascia a desiderare.

Property clean, somewhat cosy. Breakfast superb. The welcome. Gentleman wearing a hat did not greet us or even bother to help us with our car upon arrival. He also spoke no English and simply beckoned to us go move our car. A Second Gentleman of Indian descent asked us how he could help and we told him we were arriving as guest of the hotel. He then unloaded our car and assisted us very efficiently and friendly. The gentleman in the hat also broke our car key. The key fell from his person and instead of being honest, he simply told us that he had trouble to access the car. The reception team, were lovely. Check in was delayed because we arrived early. Since our room was paid in full prior to arrival, we were asked for a credit card only for incidentals. We provided one and a prepayment was made for €100. Unfortunately the hotel’s reservation system had an „error“ and our credit card was double charged for the entire stay twice. The monies we arranged for our travel is now blocked as a result, the bank explained that despite the hotel’s release the double booking would be held for fifteen days.
