The location and staff was very good and friendly. Bathroom door was almost off it's hinges and would not close. Ceiling looked unfinished. Bathroom had no towel bars to hang towels.

10 stars. No question. Our stay at Balfour Miami Beach, a Registry Collection Hotel, was exactly what you hope for when you book a Miami escape. The hospitality team set the tone immediately, warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Julie deserves a special mention. She went above and beyond to make sure my mom and I were comfortable from start to finish. Those thoughtful touches and kind check-ins made all the difference. The newly remodeled side strikes a perfect balance. Clean, modern design layered with that classic Miami Art Deco feel. It feels fresh without losing character. Location is spot on. Easy access to everything, yet calm enough to relax. The beach setup is seamless. You arrive, have a welcome drink, settle in, and the day just unfolds. If you want a short stay that feels easy, welcoming, affordable, and well cared for, this is it. Highly recommend. The only thing I didn’t realize before booking is that the hotel has two distinct sides; one more original Art Deco and one recently remodeled. It would have been helpful to know this in advance when choosing a room. (Shared pics from the older room of the bed & bathroom, remodeled room just the bed & space.

Friendly staff. Bar closes at 10pm. Pool has the size of a jacuzzi. To park your car you have to spend a fortune.

We booked a Junior Suite with a main bedroom and a separate area, divided by a sliding door, with a large sofa bed. Unfortunately, the A/C was a major issue. Despite the hotel initially insisting that the A/C was working properly, the room was extremely hot. The main bedroom had a ceiling fan, which helped slightly, but the sofa bed area had no fan at all and was unbearably hot, especially in Miami in August. The first night was a nightmare. After we complained, a hotel representative gave us two small portable units that were primarily heaters but also had a fan setting. Unfortunately, these made very little difference. Later, another member of staff was much more transparent and admitted that the A/C in this particular room was simply not good enough for the size of the suite. However, we were told there was little they could do because the hotel was fully booked. The following evening, I raised the issue again with a different member of staff, who told me that maintenance had checked the room and that everything was "completely fine." This did not reflect our experience at all, so I asked her to come to the room with me and see the situation herself (with both A/C & ceiling fan on). She even insisted that the room was just hot because of the outside although it was facing the patio. After around 10 minutes, the hotel member agreed to give us the connecting room next door, which thankfully had excellent A/C. This helped with the sofa bed situation, but our original main bedroom was still very warm and we were largely relying on the ceiling fan. On the third night, after raising the issue again, the hotel finally moved us to a different, larger room. The A/C worked perfectly there and everything was great from that point onwards.

I stayed at this property for a two night work trip. I specifically took off my jewelry and kept it in the room to not walk around with it... because it felt a little seedy. Upon leaving I realized I didn't have my over $40k bracelet. I immediately contacted the hotel, and of course no one had it. The hotel itself is a motel style property with a facelift. The interior of the actual room is decorated nicely and clean. It is my fault for staying at such a cheap hotel, that doesn't properly vet their staff, but it was right next door to a job site I was working on. It would have been nice if the housekeeping staff had some integrity and didn't steal people's belongings. If you are staying here do NOT bring anything of value.

The location was fantastic, close to the beach and restaurants but not too close to the impacted by noise! the hotel is lovely decorated and rooms very clean and the employees were lovely and very helpful The only point that was not great was the pool - it got so hot during the day that we could just not use it.

Close to beach, friendly staff. Clean The pool was hot felt more like a jacuzzi instead of swimming pool

The hotel staff were wonderful and the proximity to the beach was great. The staff at the hotel restaurant were fantastic and the food was excellent. Overall, it was a very positive experience for us. We would definitely go back again!

The “pool” is an underfilled hot tub with 105 degree water and 0 movement. It was at least a foot low. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable. We had to continually use the shower to cool off while waiting for check in. It does have nice beach access with chairs and umbrellas included. The staff did send maintenance to our room to check AC quickly but only determined temp was adequate coming from unit. They did offer to move us to another room. We declined as we were only there overnight before our cruise. We luckily got a very good rate due to Expedia points. We definitely would not stay there again.

Everything met my expectations. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the facility is well maintained. The location is right where you want to be on South Beach - close enough both to the peacefulness of the south end and the party and reaturants to the north.
