Good location, well equipped kitchen. The beds are comfortable and there is enough space in the room for big suitcases. Big groups of people actually living there. They were extremely noisy in the night. If your room is near the common areas you won’t be able to sleep. The rooms are not cleaned constantly and they smell bad.

I was given a room in which tenants stayed for already several years, meaning only little space was left for me and the entire atmosphere was not welcoming. The stair cases are dirty/damaged, but it’s fine for the price

We booked a family room with a double bed, when we got at there they had changed our room without telling us. All other rooms were booked already (so they said) and we had to sleep in a bulk bed.

The location is great, right next to the Victoria Market. And the staff is friendly. Very dirty, rooms are nothing like on pictures. There was mold in the rooms, the hallways smell really bad. Extremly noisy through the whole night (noise from the kitchen, people in the hallway as well as the downstair pub). Also the beds are uncomfortable.

location was great and price was very good. The first night we were there the metal bar downstairs was playing music until 6am and we were in the top floor and still the music was so loud the beds were vibrating. I would not stay here if you like sleep or are sensitive to sound when sleeping - that's on me though for not reading the other reviews thoroughly enough as this was pointed out. The other thing was staff were never at the front desk at the times that were advertised which was really annoying when you are waiting to get towels for morning showers etc...and when the guy did eventually get there he asked me to wait while he checked in some other guests to which I said no as I had already been waiting for 45 mins for him to staff the front desk.

Despite being cleaned for a hour before we were allowed in, the state of our room was nothing short of horrendous. The floors and sheets seemed to be the only thing that had been cleaned. The room stunk strongly of the lemon scented disinfectant used to wash the floor. The lockers, shelves and desk however were still covered with grime and we even found a few short hairs covering the shelves. The bed frames were covered in dust and the curtains seemed to be laced with mould. To make matters worse, a half eaten chocolate bar sat squished on the window sill, which was also covered in dust and the remanence of the chocolate. Now a small amount of dust is manageable but the general uncleanliness of the room was simply unacceptable. Never in my life have I had an issue such as this when staying at hostels. It got to the point where we went and bought disinfectant wipes of our own to try to make the best of the situation, but from what we did in 20 minutes made me seriously question how often and thoroughly these rooms are cleaned. This is a threat to a customer’s health and safety and breaches the health code. the shared kitchen was not well respected by other visitors as i could not find one clean utensil in the drawers, however the kitchen was quite large and the one shared eating space was acceptable. the shared toilets were generally clean although door nobs, light switches and other surfaces had obviously not been cleaned in a considerable amount of time. the shower rooms were roomy and the hot water and water pressure was pretty reliable although there was mold on the roof. there were enough amenities for the amount of visitors which was a relief i suppose. additionally, the entire upper floor smelled of marijuana. would not recommend.

The only good thing about this hostel is it's location. Shower room is definitely a mess, the lights suddenly go off, the space is minimum and lot more.

Dirty. Room, kitchen, bathroom and every shared place were dirty. Pub just under the window may make it difficult to sleep at night. I had problem to contact the hostel to have my caution back...

There was a very loud rock show night one that went until 6am in the morning. I didn't get any sleep. It was a complete waste of money.
-
There are any lockers Suddenly turned off the shower room lights

If you expect to have a quiet night, just don’t book this place from Friday to Sunday. Except if you want to experience a night with the feeling to sleep on a hard rock stage. The bar downstairs is playing hard rock / metal music until 7am.
