The water slide is not operational Mon it Tues, which was the whole reason we stayed. We paid extra for a pull out couch that was too stained/gross for me to let the kids touch, let alone sleep on- there were no linens for the pull out at all. The elevator had a stained rug that had an odor, and the elevator shook/vibrated so badly it made the kids nervous. The pool towels were not clean, they smelled like sour milk, the pool was freezing.

Slide hours were to short.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was quiet.

The pool was closed. With no communication that it would be closed via reservation or at check in. If you run into this the RogueX has the most amazing pool for children of all ages! And not badly priced either.

I reserved a particular room for 3 nights in advance 3 months ago for my birthday . I liked this hotel because of the slide ( too fun) and how warm the water in the pool is. Also I appreciated the staff and the in room hottub. Well when we checked in I was first told I couldn't have that room. The front desk clerk did some manuvering and got us an identical room.. that was appreciated. However, there was a sign on the front desk stating that the pool and slide would be closed until the fging day. My reservation was for Aug.11th thru the the 14th. When we got into the room, there was food left in the fridge and I had noticed them

Breakfast was ok. Explaining how to use the shower.

The power cord wasn’t attached to the wall just hung free especially when I plugged in the coffee pot. The cover for smoke detector was hanging partially off above the bed. Dust covered the bathroom fan cover. When I plugged in the coffee pot water started pouring out from previous use. Against walls and under cooling system weren’t vacuumed, not in a filthy way but noticeable to someone who has worked in the industry. The bedspread appeared old and a few stains.

I believe the biggest problem with my stay was that they were severely understaffed. Front desk was helping clean rooms and the quality of the cleanliness in the rooms was sacrificed. There were handwritten notes everywhere and the pool was not open for the entirety of my stay, even though the note at the front desk said it would be open that day. The staff was wonderful, but terribly overworked.

This entire property was garbage. Super 8 sign out front was broken. The place was dirty and completely run down. Nobody is maintaining it at all.
-
Pool and water slide had no lifeguard, as posted to use the slide. Kids were being extremely unsafe without the lifeguard. Our AC unit was steaming and had to be unplugged. Shower pressure was terrible. But front desk staff were super kind!

When I booked the hotel I called the front desk immediately afterwards and assured the pool would be available. The confirmed that yes, for the ONE NIGHT we would be traveling through, the pool would be available. It was not. When we arrived, kids bouncing around the moving truck with excitement, it was closed for SCHEDULED maintenance. They just straight lied to us to get the reservation. The Continental breakfast was pretty much a waffle maker. They did have eggs as they suggested, they were packaged hard boiled eggs. So everything just has a nice little, twist on the truth. To top it off when we were packing up, I asked my 9-year-old daughter to please grab the article of clothing underneath the table in the corner. She held it up and said, It's a bra, and it's not mine. She was correct! I always leave the staff a few bucks under the TV remote. I couldn't even bring myself to that after finding that. We just were happy to be leaving. I'll never stay at a Motel 8 or anything "By Whyndom" or whatever the name is, ever again.

Pool was not working it was literally the reason we booked the hotel with the slide for our daughter she was incredibly upset and they did nothing to make up for it. Room wasn’t very clean. Black out curtains didn’t block any light woken up super early.

Loss of one star because pool was closed for maintenance on a weekend and this was the main reason we booked and I think a selling point for this place. A pool with a big slide, definitely caught my eye when looking for a place to stay. We wanted to book a spot for the kids to get out of the car and have something fun to do as a mid way point on a drive from WA to CA. Had we known, would have booked somewhere else with a pool or kept driving a couple of hours. Clean, comfortable beds, nice staff. A little worn down with areas noticable repairs like unpainted areas where spackling was applied. Breakfast was ok/good enough. Better than cheap pastries and OJ but no warm foods other than waffles. Limited fruit to apples. Staff was friendly and tried to recommend other areas in town for swimming or entertainment. Price was about 20% less than the next similar option, which made the pool closure easier to accept. Had it been similar price to other places close by, I would have been really disappointed the pool was closed. Recommend calling in advance to make sure pool is open before booking if that is an amenity you are hoping to get.

Very clean rooms, helpful staff and good location

Hotel could use an update in the rooms.

The condition of the hotel was average but the staff were excellent. Specifically, Christine and Maria went out of their way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. Will return on our next trip through the area based on these two.
