iCom Marina Sea View

The sea view was amazing and the room was clean, bright, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. There were no major issues, but the breakfast options could be improved slightly.

Location - everything is very close AC leaking and the room a little bit tired (spots on the walls)

The staff decorated the bed for my birthday & tried to make amends by giving me a discount on my beach dinner. The security guard & staff was very helping in helping get my phone charged. It was old, the charger ports in my room did not work, & a staff member forgot to book my birthday dinner on the beach for the day of my actual birthday.

This property looks good in photos, but it's awful in person. I am not very picky, after all it only cost $150. But this hotel management does not even try to make the hotel decent. It is absolutely awful. In the lobby, there are several old furniture that they did not want to throw away, instead they piled them in the corner like it is some warehouse. The toilet is beyond disgusting. There was a leak above my toilet and it started dripping on me. There's mold marks on the toilet sink and bathroom. Stains on the wall. Dust so thick. The worst part was the sewage smell- I had to buy air freshener from a store to mask the bad odor. HOWEVER- I do have to say that their staff are amazing. They are all very friendly and kind. I feel bad for them because they have to answer to unhappy clients. I have seen so many unhappy guests, come and complain. They should shut this place down. Smells bad. Dirty. Unhygienic. Moldy. Dusty. Lots of stain.

Not much Some of the ladies at the front desk were not really friendly. The included breakfast is served in another hotel. the rooms do not have phone, if you need anything you have to walk downstairs or take a busy elevator. the young man helped me with luggage was smoking and talking to me while smoking. they charge me 10 US dollar for an empty bottle of water I accidentally broke in the room, than when I paid with local currency they apply me an outrageous rate, so I ended up to pay 13 dollar (200 MVR) for an empty glass bottle of water, when I asked for the receipt, the lady at front desk ( not the friendly one) said they do not do receipt for that, insane. The entrance is not well maintained. just outside entrance there is garbage bin and they feed cats in an uncleaned area. Also there are 6 parrots just in front of the icom restaurant, those poor animal are constantly chained to their perch, not sure who owned those parrots.

Sea view rooms were nice, staff is amazing There’s construction going on at the back of the hotel so if anyone’s getting city view, keep that in mind. City view rooms have musty smell. Also the corridors need renovation.

Non！ Extremely Disappointing Experience with Icom — Especially Their Attitude Towards Handling Issues Icom has been the most disappointing service I have ever encountered, particularly regarding their attitude when dealing with problems. We arrived at the airport at 2:00 PM. The female Icom staff confirmed our boat departure time was 3:25 PM and told us to wait at the airport. When the time came, we all went together to the pier. During the wait, I double-checked the time with her again. However, she never showed up in the end, and we had to search the entire airport for her. We sought help from other staff members. Another Icom employee — a bald man — called her and was told she would be back soon. But by the time we got this call, the boat had already left. Despite this, we waited an additional 20 minutes, and she still didn’t appear. The next Icom boat wasn’t until 6:00 PM, which meant we missed all our evening plans — everything was ruined! We had no choice but to take a private boat that left at 4:30 PM. During this entire time, the female staff member never returned. The other employee called her again and was told she was eating and would be back shortly. Yet, she never showed up before we left the airport. The airport itself has no air conditioning; it was hot and stuffy, and we were forced to wait inside for two and a half hours! Meanwhile, I messaged the hotel for help — no one responded. When we arrived at the hotel, I explained the situation to the front desk. They said the manager would investigate and get back to me. Laughably, no so-called manager ever contacted me! On day one, they said they would reach out; day two, they said they would follow up; day three, they told me the manager was in the hospital. Now, a week after returning home, I still have no reply! Their way of handling issues is to simply ignore you. Also, don’t trust their pictures! The bathroom mirrors are disgusting, especially in rooms 505 and 506.

Nice staff good location Nothing

Very unprofessional management. They forgot to inform the transfer team about my arrival. They do not provide any hand wash in the washrooms. They just have a few hours slot for housekeeping, if you miss the slot, your room remains uncleaned. One night there was a heave rain, water entered into the room. The floor was flooded and the belongings that were on floor got drenched.

Nice & clean facility, staffs was excellent

This is our first time staying at Maafushi Island. Location is near the Jetty. They have lift for easy access. The bathroom has exhaust to keep the bathroom dry. The room is a bit humid that can cause molds and a bit smell but after we open the sloding door to reduce the humid, there is no smell anymore..
