The Lady at the reception that took care of our luggage when we arrived and who did the checkout was really nice. Breakfast was good and everything was clean. The hotel is close to the british museum and would have been perfect for our city trip. but during the check in, the drama started already. The other Lady's english at the receptionwas so bad, that she already struggled during the check in. When we got to the room, we realized a beeping sound from the service room next door and complained at the reception. The guy was nice and told us the noise was probably comming from a server in the room. when we came back after dinner it was gone. the next day, when we came back after dinner at around 9pm. the noise was back and when we complained about it again, the lady from the check in was back at the reception and probably did not get it and never forwarded the problem. as she said, she will take care about it, we went out again to give them some time to fix it, but when we came back 3 hours later, nobody had done anything. so we went with another guy from the reception to check it, but then he started to shout at us and blamed us we should have said something during day time. it went that far, that he pushed me at some point. So we left the hotel and found another place to stay. The room itself was okay. to expensive for the condition, but clean. we had booked a suite as we stayed there with a child, but there was no separation between the bed rooms, which was not really clear from the pictures.

They provide a gluten free breakfast. Rooms are comfy and clean and include a fridge which was perfect for the hot weather. Great location with underground, places to eat, shops, and coffee shops within walking distance.

Overall, the location is convenient, but there are a few things to note. The bathroom drain was clogged, so the water in the shower built up very quickly. The windows in the room couldn’t be opened, and the air conditioner was located directly above the bed, blowing straight into my face. There was no way to change the direction of the airflow. The hotel is old, but considering its location, it’s probably the best option. There are some good places nearby for breakfast.

Excellent location Very friendly & helpful staff. We have stayed here many times but this time there was a cut back in certain things like individual jams & sauces at breakfast & breakfast not as much choice or good quality. Price also increased a lot.

Well located, professional, friendly staff. The gentleman at the bar, Maurizio was very nice and made our stay more enjoyable with his nice manners and conversation.
