Upon arrival, as most of hotels would do, an extra amount would be blocked from the credit card as an insurance policy ( I have already paid the total amount of my stay at the time of booking ), that would be released by check out!! Well, that wasn’t the case at this hotel, the amount was deducted from my credit card & when I questioned it, they promised it would be returned later, yes it was returned .. but due to currency exchange it was less than what was originally charged!!! They knew that, yet they played it well ??♀️ One more thing, they really should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the room!!!

Great location in central London. OK sized family room. Welcoming staff. The noisiest AC we've ever experienced. A bit too small bathroom for a family room.

Everything is new , staff are very friendly and the room is very well cleaned (in silence at the corridors!). Location is perfect!!!

They were making constructions and it was so noisy making hard to sleep, the hotel isn’t as shown in the pictures and it’s not that clean

Location Just to recap, here is the full story: I checked into the hotel and was assigned room 420 - a twin bed though I booked a king - the room had intense body odour and I came back to the front desk. I was then assigned room 120 - which is a meeting room floor and there were 6 meetings scheduled (placards outside each room and two opposite room 120). I came back down to front desk and told them other than my room and the one next to it all rooms in that wing were meeting rooms which is unacceptable. The manager then interfered and assigned me a room on 8th floor (806) again a twin bed and again smelling of body odour. The hotel has no other or better rooms. I have had to reluctantly leave the property and I was on the street looking for an alternate. (Eventually stayed at JW Marriott) I requested a full refund. Mr. Abdul claims he cannot make the refund or cancel the booking and it can only be done by you. As you can see I have a long and rich history with booking.com and have not complained about another property however this one needs your attention. Incidentally, I am a silver elite member of Bonvoy - a Mariott loyalty program and I know what mariott standards should be. Booking.com should review this particular hotel and decide if it is worth listing. Please help me with the refund - I have but been in the property 20 minutes and that it. In addition, at the time of check in, the hotel took a GBP 150/- “hold” on my card for incidentals “as per hotel policy”, I had no choice but but to agree only later to find out that this was not a hold but the money has been charged to my credit card. I have sent a message to the property thru Booking.com to return my money but (unsurprisingly) there has been no Reply and the hotel completely mislead me.
