I think the property has an excellent location, and the bones of the hotel are great. Therenis a lot of potential. This is one of the filthiest hotels i have ever stayed at. Cobwebs on the walls + ceilings + window sills, dirty floors - they looked like they were neither vacuumed nor washed in months, the bathroom was disgusting, carpet around my bed was gross, and the ac grill - oh my god. Outside of the room, the hallsways and elevators were unacceptably dirty too. I have asked the hotel to deep clean my room, they said they did. Upon my return, the room was still really nasty. I have stayed at other Locke properties before and they were all spotless. This one is the worst.

The hotel is adorable and the room was very nice and comfortable! I loved that there was AC and a lift! It was conveniently located as well. My bathroom wasn't properly cleaned upon arrival and the food in the restaurant wasn't great. Everything was wonderful though.

Great location in Kensington. Notting Hill in walking distance. Lovely restaurant, bar, lounge and garden. The shower was temperamental.

Needs better cleaning, rooms are dusty

I love the vibe of Locke Hotels. Staying there feels less like being a tourist and more like living in the neighborhood, truly immersed in the local community. The kitchenette and dining area in every room make it easy to settle in and feel at home. This property is conveniently located to the tube. It is bout a 10-minute walk from Earl’s Court Station.. I also appreciated the inviting seating area just inside the entrance, as well as the grab-and-go café where you can quickly pick up an espresso before heading out for the day.i Overall, I was disappointed with this particular Locke property, primarily because of the lack of communication and service recovery. I booked two rooms—one for myself and one for my children (one teen and one younger child). Before arriving, I emailed the hotel requesting that our rooms be next to each other, and I received confirmation that they would be. Upon check-in, however, I was assigned a room on the third floor while my children were placed in a basement-level room. When I went to their room, there was a noticeable musty odor. Although the staff were able to move us the following day, it was frustrating because I had arrived expecting the arrangements that had already been confirmed. Prior to arrival, I had also requested extra towels in our rooms, but that request was overlooked as well. While I appreciated that the room change was eventually accommodated, I expected some acknowledgment of the inconvenience. As a Locke Hotels member, I felt that a small gesture of goodwill—whether it was waiving the first night’s room charge, offering complimentary breakfast, or extending another courtesy—would have demonstrated that the hotel valued its guests. Instead, I felt as though my concerns were dismissed. In particular, I found one receptionist’s demeanor to be unwelcoming and, at times, judgmental, leaving me with the impression that I was somehow at fault for raising legitimate concerns. The following morning, despite the previous day’s issues, my family decided to have breakfast at the hotel. Unfortunately, that experience was equally disappointing. We waited over an hour for our food, only to discover that our order had apparently never been submitted. After finally receiving our cappuccinos, we waited another 15 minutes for our meals. When the bill arrived, it was incorrect. We were charged for the resident breakfast buffet, which included unlimited coffee, juice, and toast.

Loved this hotel favourite in London for sure! The design of the room is so cute, very aesthetic. Very clean and comfy and a good size for London which is usually small. Loved the area, and theres an amazing cafe/restaurant downstairs. Nothing

Bathroom wasn't clean. Constant noise from lobby's creaking door which we could her in our room throughout the night. No sunlight in the room.

Hmm…looks cool Style over substance

The coffee shop! Also the bed was very comfortable The bathroom had no fan, so some mold had developed on ceiling in shower and in the grout. Also, bathroom could have been cleaned better.

Convenient location. Air conditioning. I wish I had taken the google reviews more seriously. The room was dirty when I arrived late at night. There was a huge gross footprint on the couch. Nothing felt like it had been thoroughly cleaned. Marks on the walls and carpet. Floor felt dirty. Toilet needed extra cleaning…The staff did send someone to do a clean when I let the front desk know the next morning but it never felt truly clean. Pillows and mattress were also lumpy and uncomfortable and the bathroom tub didn’t drain properly.

Room is dusty, cups are stain and dirty, toilet cannot flush properly, did not prepare requested for the extra bed until 1.30am and had to go to the reception to request again. Very low corners or ceiling all over the room where you will hit your head anytime. Reception was friendly but unfortunately service was poor.
-
Good location with underground station nearby The rooms were too small and the staff were indifferent about our considerations and you have to schedule cleaning services 24 hours before
-
Location was convenient; lobby restaurant was nice Rooms were basic and staff left the front desk early
-
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night because someone was cooking without opening the room's windows. The outsourced night staff hadn't received clear instructions on how to respond in a situation like this one, according to what they told us the next day. It was very disturbing.
-
Short-staffed. Fire alarm rang in the middle of the night, could have avoided having all guests go down if false alarm was caught on time.

Gorgeous property. Wonderful room.

The Ember-Locke was beautiful and some of the staff was very friendly. There was hair in the bath tubs. Thry told us at check-in that there was no service for a 2 day stay but there was only one small trash can in one of the bathrooms and only enough coffee and tea for one day. So we had to divide it up and one person have a coffee one day, so we had coffee for the next morning. We tried to get a meal when we got in at the resturant, and they said thry could serve us until 9:00. It was 8:40, by 8:45 I asked if someone could take our order because after seating us and telling us about the 9:00 cut off she never came back. Someone else took our order and said the food would close at 9, but we could still order drinks. There were several tables seated who were waiting for food, so we weren't thr only ones. When the first finally came back, I asked for another drink and she refused. I explained that the other waiter told us we could order something. She said she would ask her colleague because she didn't believe me. Then she did bring me a second drink after checking with the other waiter. I also asked for a glass of milk for my child and she told me she couldn't provide anything after 9:00. The customer service was very much lacking.
