There was no elevator, but the staff assisted us with our luggage. The location was very good. They had no breakfast option, but there were a couple of places nearby.

Both historic and modern. Just lovely!

Excellent staff! So friendly and helpful.
-
Soya milk substitute, no plug in washbasin.

The staff was exceptionally helpful in very way from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent at the pub. Nothing

Location, very quiet, comfy bed, big bathroom, mixed feelings about walking up 3 steep flights of stairs, very nice pub below, convenient to tube station No view (hence the quiet), tiny room (fine for 1 person), no breakfast (but options nearby), steep stairs are not for everyone

Was a bummer the pub was closed, but with the holiday I get it. I'll come back another time! The Netflix account wasn't logged in, but it wasn't a huge deal for me.

We stayed for 5 nights. The room on the top floor was very comfortable with plenty space and being in the back of the building it was quieter than when we stayed in the front. Bed was comfy. The bathroom was tiny but the shower was good. Tv was massive. Daughter was in a next door room and her room was smaller than ours and would have been a bit tight for two people with luggage but the bathroom was huge and the tv was small. Location is very good with buses to Oxford St as well as being very walkable too. Nice and close to great places like St Barthololmew the Great and Smithfield as well as St Pauls and walks across the river. We walked to Borough Market easily from here. Also being on the Elizabeth Line its a super easy ride out to the airport! The steep stairs. We knew about them so were prepared but they would be hard for some with bad knees or heavy luggage.

The interior design was so cool and cozy. The room size was generous and I like how they provide free snacks and some amenities.

Large comfortable room, big bath tub, quiet and conveniently located, friendly staff.

On arrival Staff were fun and festive. Offered me a shot and carried my bag to my room. Room and bathroom were spacious, clean, comfy and quiet from the street. Coffee, tea, iron, hair dryer, fridge all in the room was excellent. Loved my big desk too. I only stayed three nights but did enjoy a tasty chicken burger and pint in the pub. Again, the staff were fun and friendly. Really loved this spot and great value for the neighborhood. I typically look to stay at arty bohemian vibe type place, like the nearby Rookery, but these rooms are twice the size and nearly half the price than those. And has dog portrait paintings. 'Tis great. :) If they served me breakfast in bed at noon, included, lol

It had a nice decor There was not much staff available, there was construction going on in the room next to ours . Which was never informed to us! Room was dusty and noise started very early (construction), mattress was very uncomfortable, very old and had no shape at all , couldn’t sit on the edge of it because it loose the shape (it kind melted) When lying on it we were sinking in the middle of the mattress. The a/c was not cooling much and the last night stopped working completely!

A cosy and quiet room – despite the busy street outside and the pub downstairs – featuring a (decorative) fireplace. It has an old-school feel: two taps over the sink, proper metal keys with a wooden tag instead of dull key cards (sadly, the manager said this feature will be gone by autumn, if I understood correctly – a shame), etc. Excellent location – many places in central London are within walking distance. Clean. Exceptionally friendly staff. The only downside was that they no longer serve breakfast (so I believe the “breakfast included” option should be removed from Booking). I booked the room back in January or thereabouts with breakfast included, and as it was no longer available, I was offered compensation options. I chose a pleasant dinner with a friend at the pub, on the house. All in all, I would highly recommend.

All the stairs, one of my knees is not the best so 3 flights of stairs to get to your room or out to the city was a bit tough over multiple days

Lovely rooms, comfortable and clean. Room was on the 3rd floor with no lift so might present a problem for some. Kitchen was closed during our stay and although we received a refund, breakfast would have been preferable.

Extremely friendly staff. Clean and comfortable beds. Roomy clean bathroom. Good quiet location but on Easter weekend it was a bit too quiet.. Close to bus stops which took us anywhere we needed. Short bus ride to most central sites and attractions. Thin walls. Could hear the next door guests talking and employees moving heavy objects early morning and at night. Not very close to underground station if you need it. The bar downstairs can get very busy. There is a separate entrance to the rooms but it can be crowded with people drinking.
