Location is quite good and close to transit options along with easy food options. It’s spotty in terms of older rooms and the bathroom fixtures

Near the night life just two blocks from the Underground. The room did not resemble what was shown in the hotel’s promotional materials. It was dark, dirty, and extremely small, with no refrigerator. The shower also required stepping up to enter, which could be difficult or unsafe for elderly guests or anyone with limited mobility. Reaching the 12th floor was inconvenient because the elevator did not travel directly to the top. We had to get off and transfer to another elevator, and we could hear elevator noise throughout the night. The six elevators also appeared to be poorly coordinated with the call buttons. When an elevator arrived in the lobby and became full, the remaining guests would wait in front of another elevator. However, pressing the call button often reopened the doors of the already-full elevator as it was trying to depart. This caused considerable frustration, with some guests yelling at others to stop pressing the elevator button. Most concerning, I saw a mouse walking near the breakfast area. A door behind the main entrance, opening directly onto a public street, was left wide open. On the positive side, the breakfast was amazing, and the restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The location is also convenient for enjoying the nearby nightlife. Unfortunately, the room’s condition, persistent elevator noise, poorly functioning elevator system, accessibility concerns, and mouse sighting significantly affected my overall impression of the hotel.

Centrally located and the staff very helpful No air condition in our room

My room was the perfect comfortable minimum size for a solo traveler. It was compact without being claustrophobic, just enough room for my suitcase on the floor and to move around, with a desk. The room AC worked great (It didn't have a built-in minimum like the hotel room I had stayed in in France, I was able to get to a truly comfortable 22C rather than stuck at 25). Some ambient noise from the street, but that's what I like about staying in the city. Location was great, I especially appreciated the cafe and food mart just across the street that had many grab&go and fresh options. I'm recommending the STG Hotel to my friend who is traveling there later this year.

Beds were not comfortable, Everything else perfect

Great location! Very clean! Most of the staff was helpful. My initial arrival, the employee that greeted me wasn’t supper helpful. We arrived early and offered early check in for a fee. Which was fine and then told it wasn’t available and then told e we could pay to leave our luggage which was pretty much the same cost. I found this a little frustrating but did it anyway. We then came back about time for check in and our room was available. The employee that greeted me at this point was very helpful and welcoming and helped us set up late check out. The other employees we spoke with were very helpful and pleasant.

Location Shower drains very slow. Room very tight

The location was exceptional, which is why we selected the hotel. Further, my wife and I stayed on the 12th floor of the hotel back in 2018. This time around, we were on the fourth floor. Staff doors were banging all night long, the noise too much to sleep in. Sincerly, I could not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Nothing.

Had an issue with our room we were changed out and upgraded same night on a very hot evening. N/a

The location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a nice layout as well. Unfortunately for us, we were there during a massive heatwave and the air conditioning was not working. They said they came to fix it but it never worked. Unfortunately we just decided to stop trying and sleep with the windows open as much as possible. That led to some loud noises at night waking us up. In order to cool is down we took cold showers before bed and slept with our personal fans pointed at us.

The location is great Everything the room is tiny like no human can live in this no fridge no iron , hair dryer broken , no room service , no phone to call front desk , no cleaning the room daily or taking the garbage out no new towels it's a disaster

The staff was helpful and was able to upgrade me to a different room the next day (for 30£ extra per night) and the new room was perfectly fine with functional AC and renovations/clean facilities. This poor review is for the existence of the first room, which in my opinion is shocking that they offer to people. Make sure if you book this hotel to book the upgraded rooms. Biggest plus side - GREAT location! I am not a picky person and I travel a lot but this is the first room I have ever had to upgrade rooms because of how filthy, hot, and uncomfortable my first night was (see photos). There was no AC, and not even a fan in my room. The window is bolted to only open a few inches so there was zero air flow. When I entered my room it was hotter inside than it was outside and was a completely unlivable temperature. I had to request a fan brought up, which is pictured, and that hardly did anything for lowering the heat. I didn't sleep at all that night (I was there for work too), even though it was cold outside, yet still remained an unbearable temperature in that awful room. On top of that, I have never in my life seen such a disgusting hallway carpet and room, pictured here. It looks like something out of a horror movie. There was random stuff from the closet left on the floor when I walked in too. It is my opinion that these rooms should not even be offered out, or with a warning of being unbearably hot and disgusting and cost a quarter of the price. Thankfully I was able to upgrade to the renovated rooms that have AC and were completely acceptable, but it is disturbing to me that a hotel can even think of offering the condition of the first room to travelers for near the same cost as the renovated. I am very disappointed in this hotel, but thankful for the staff and the upgrade to the renovated room.

Total disappointment. Everything was poor. The elevators were terrible, the room was tiny, and the power outlets barely worked. It was extremely hot inside, the AC didn't work, and the windows wouldn't open.
-

The location is fantastic. The noise - the room’s window looked out onto Tottenham Court Road street.

location, staff kind, polite, and hardworking despite being clearly understaffed. Traditional Avrage English breakfast just don’t ask for ice: the machine is apparently broken, don't expect the lifts to work all the time, do expect the minimum of minimum - seems that the motto is that even basic comforts is redundant. A good location cannot compensate for an extremely small, dusty, stuffy, and unbearably hot room. Basic rooms have no air conditioning, the fan provided was covered in dust, the “double” bed was tiny, overly soft, and uncomfortable, and super-basic cleaning was provided only once every 4 days. If you happen to need your bedsheets changed, be prepared to do it on your own or pay for it. Several basic comforts had either been removed or required additional payment, showing utter disrespect for guests and their comfort. The lifts were constantly overcrowded and unreliable - often only two of the four were working, resulting in long waits, breakdowns, and guests having to exit on another floor or use the stairs. The situation became a running joke among guests, but it was completely inappropriate for a hotel of this size. Llocation is very convenient during the day, the surrounding area becomes much less pleasant in the evening, with many intoxicated people and homeless individuals nearby. The staff remained friendly and professional despite being severely understaffed and deserve credit for that. But the ownership or new management appears more focused on cutting costs, staffing, and services than on guest comfort relaying only on the location. Considering the price, the hotel offers extremely poor value for money.
