While the hotel listing itself noted the hotel has air conditioning, not all rooms have it. This was not made clear at the time of booking and I apparently booked a room without a/c. Given we were traveling with my elderly mother we could not stay in this room as this was during a heat wave and there were no other rooms with a/c available. The hotel refused to provide even a partial refund given our circumstances. There are much nicer hotels in the area that were comparably priced which were much more accommodating to our needs. Please be aware when booking that only specific rooms have air conditioning.

The location was fantastic. Close to so many perfect spots. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. My husband and I stayed at the Morgan Hotel during our honeymoon because the location was perfect. Unfortunately, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos shown on the hotel’s website or on Booking.com. It was much smaller than expected, with barely enough space to walk around the bed. We also found the room to be dirty, there was visible mold, bugs throughout the room, and the shower drain was clogged, causing it to flood while in use. Overall, it felt poorly maintained and very different from what had been advertised. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in our room did not work, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable overnight. We reported the issue immediately, and the hotel acknowledged there was a problem with the AC. Because the issue could not be repaired that evening, staff walked us to their sister hotel so we would at least have a place to sleep for the night. We were instructed to leave all of our luggage in our original room and return the following morning. The proposed long-term solution was to move us into a basement room that also did not have air conditioning, with the explanation that it would feel cooler because it was underground. While we were trying to resolve the AC issue, the receptionist made several personal comments that I found inappropriate and unsettling. He described a scenario from a fantasy novel he was reading in which he could replace my husband in my memories so that I would believe he was married to me instead, while my real husband would slowly die because I no longer remembered him. The following morning, he again commented that my husband was “lucky” to be with me and added that he himself was “not that lucky.” Regardless of whether these comments were intended as jokes, they were inappropriate in a professional setting and made both my husband and me feel uncomfortable.

Good location with buses and trains nearby. Air conditioning a blessing in this hot weather. Room was very small. No room for suitcases.

The sliding door wouldn't close properly, it sometimes jammed.

comfortable room excellent breakfasts lack of a lift

I picked the Morgan Hotel primarily for its proximity to the British Museum as it is literally just around the corner. The breakfast was good and very efficiently prepared. The staff were cheerful and helpful. It was a very simple hotel in an older building with tiny rooms. I shudder to think how hot it must be in the current heat wave as it doesn't appear to have air-conditioning.

Felt dirty, shower didn't drain and misrepresented the room size with it's marketing photo.

Great location. Many sites were walkable and there was 2 tube stations nearby. It was just around the corner from the British Museum. The breakfast was Amazing 4 flights of stairs to our room, 6 flights from the breakfast room to our room. This may be a problem for some people.

Hotel location is excellent near the British Museum, covent garden, soho, Chinatown, regent & oxford street, and many tourist attractions. Apartment is spacious. Breakfast is solid (full English breakfast). Most of all, high rating is for the friendly and helpful staff. The tall gentleman at the reception is very kind and makes efforts to accommodate our special needs. Stairs

The location is perfect, you can walk to the major turist spots easily. Breakfast included bacon/eggs but you can order only egg or bacon for instance and yogurt/coffee/juices etc are available too. We are not keen to watch TV and luckily the TV set in the room was so tiny that it was impossible to notice it. Only in the second day we found it in the upper corner of the room :-). The bed was OK, but the mattress is narrow and has kind a soft edges and my wife dropped out of the bed at night. So - keep your hand/leg over your wife! All room numbers begin with 2, but they can be at any floor, so be prepared to climb!
