Rossio Hostel

The location is perfect and receptionist especially Resul and other staff was so lovely

They have had a bedbug infestation in their rooms for years and still haven’t solved the problem. When I asked for support, I was ignored multiple times through different email conversations. The place is dirty and poorly maintained. No amount of money you save is worth staying somewhere with bedbugs!!! I would strongly recommend choosing a different place.

Really enjoyed my time at Rossio Hostel — the location is unbeatable, right next to Rossio Square and walking distance to basically all the major tourist spots in Lisbon. Couldn’t have asked for a better base to explore the city. Special thanks to Marta for accommodating my request — she was super helpful and went out of her way to make sure everything worked out. That kind of service really makes a difference. Also thanks to 2 Ladies who prepared breakfast in the morning. Clean rooms, great vibe, and an amazing location. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon! Charging socket did not work properly.

No air conditioning, and in some rooms a ceiling fan is very loud but it also can be loud on the street. Bathroom could also be improved a bit by adding shelves

Adorei o hostel, funcionários atenciosos, lençóis limpos e macios O prédio é um pouco antigo então algumas partes precisam de reforma. O fato do hostel ficar no 3 andar também pode ser difícil se você estiver com bagagem grande, só há escada. O quarto não tem ar condicionado, somente ventilador, fica bem quente no verão.

The location was great, close to many popular attractions. And the view from the window of my room was perfect. The stuff is very helpful, the room was cosy, clean and spacious. Breakfast was also satisfying.

The property is in the city center. I booked this hotel thinking it would be the same as The Central House, but when I arrived at 1:20 AM, the hotel was closed. They should clearly state on the website that there are limited check-in hours. I waited there and tried calling the hostel’s contact number until almost 3 AM, but no one answered. I had to book another hotel just to get some rest. Also, just to let you know, the room is on the 3rd floor and they don’t have an elevator—only very steep stairs. I honestly just wanted to cry that morning; it was a total disaster. I asked if I could at least have a late check-out until 2 PM, but the manager refused. There was no compensation or even an apology, even though I paid for one night without being able to use it. The breakfast was a disaster as well, and the room was very noisy, you can hear everything, making it impossible to sleep. The washroom and bedding were dirty and smelly. Overall, my stay was a complete mess. Nothing! My stay was a complete mess.

I loved the locations and the staff were really friendly, especially Joana. The showers were really hot for five seconds then cold for 5 seconds as I showered.

The location of a hostel is perfect. Atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Breakfast is good. This place is excellent for people who want to be in the center of city. The coffee at the breakfast could be better and it was a little bit cold in a bathroom.

Very old place, smelled muggy and felt unclean and very dusty. Showers in washrooms lacked privacy.

Close to the best places on

Great location and very nice helpful happy staff. The breakfast was very good and the common areas welcoming. The water saver showers were disappointing. It was hard to regulate water temps. It seemed to arbitrarily get warmer and colder during its long mites flow period.
