I liked he uniqueness of the property and the owner's hospitality. She made us feel very welcomed! Yes, the place could use a little TLC, however the beds were comfortable, the linens and bathroom were clean. That's what matters to me when I travel. NA

Only one washcloth, NO TV, spotty WiFi, room was like 100 degrees and took hours to get it cooled down. Knowing we would be checking in that day they could have started the AC.

I have to say, might be the strangest place I have ever stayed at. Not necessarily in a bad way, but there is zero staff that I could see. I am guessing this is a wedding kind of venue that gets rented out, and when it is not used, they rent out the rooms. I don’t know. Don’t show up late night because you will be lucky to find your room, it is more or less an estate. All that said, once you find your room, it was great. Awesome value for the cost. Super clean. But zero service beyond a clean room on a really nice property.

I like how big the property is has a lot of potential for being a nice place. It was really quiet I didn’t like that there’s no microwave to heat up your food, there’s no staff the WiFi was horrible I had to use my hotspot and used up all my data

The room was very clean and comfortable! Location is excellent! So beautiful! Very Quiet! Interesting art show on the premises Well honestly it looks like it needs attention from the outside, but apparently there was a recent multimillion dollar upgrade on the "mechanicals." Run by volunteers, but extremely clean. No pool by the way, it was refine for art shows and no hot tub!

Very quiet environment and the location is close to downtown and many hiking trails.
-
The property is not well lit. Signage is hard to see at night. Zero staff anywhere to help.

No TV, Broken toilet seat. Poor customer service, no one around to complain to about all the issues with the hotel room. Not even a car in the parking lot. Didn’t feel safe staying there. Choice not to stay and couldn’t get a refund. Couldn’t even get a hold of anyone when calling there phone number. I know it said no refund. But when your room has no tv, when the description of the room says it does, and the toilet seat is broken, you should be able to get a refund. Stay away from this place, even if it is cheaper than the other hotels in the area.

Fun location! Loved learning about the history of the estate and area while I was there. I wanted to stay in the mansion. Booking wasn't clear that there were multiple housing and room options.

Quiet, private, lovely views and trails, art gallery, comfy bed. The buildings are a bit run-diwn, so it's a little depressing. There was no interaction with staff, so we had some questions that went unanswered with no one.to talk to. Mansion was locked up although the notes said it would be open. Given the lack of services, the price seemed a bit high for just a bed and bath.

The room we stayed in was very dark and dated but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had been renovated. Everything worked. The facility looks nothing like the photos, which were obviously taken in much better times. The main house is a beautiful old building but it's a mess, and the surrounding buildings are really rundown. The landscaping is overgrown, and looks like the management is really struggling to keep up with it. Maybe they will have restored it all in a few years, but right not, it's rough.

Location This is a difficult review to write. The owner and general manager, Yingxing, is very nice and tries hard. HOWEVER, … My two major complaints: Communications with the establishment were difficult. Emails & phone messages can take two days to get a response. The number we were given to text staff for help during our visit needed three or more hours for a response. My second major complaint: breakfast. Our first day, a beautiful platter of scrambled eggs with slices of fresh tomato on top was served. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal had troubles. Pastries = stale. Sausage = totally dehydrated/tough. The orange juice was BROWN. The date on the container: expired in February 2025 (our visit was July 2025)! Management's response was, “the staff brought out the wrong bottle.” For me, that is not an explanation or acceptable response. The second day, the remaining eggs from the first day, about a quarter of what was served the first day, was sitting on a cart in the kitchen with the residue of the tomatoes from the first day on the top. It was eventually rolled out into the dining room, but I would have none of it. Before I left to get breakfast elsewhere, another guest was told, “it is complementary, so if you don’t want it, you don’t have to eat it.“ I left feeling very disappointed about this property. NOTE: the pictures of the wonderful manor house and the motel-like structures are very misleading. The manor house needs considerable updating, and is a mess. The outbuildings are tired. The fountain in back of the house does not function and is a pool of green yuck. Our room in an out building needed much cosmetic maintenance. If this establishment were in the category of a YMCA camp, I would be more understanding and give it a higher rating. However, in the category of tourist accommodations, it is seriously lacking. If you’re happy with a Y camp, give it a try. If you’re expecting a more traditional tourist accommodation, I suggest you go...

We liked the location, the quiet, having Wi-Fi access , plus the room interior was spotless. We were in "Ranch " section, a complex of several rooms...all linked. There are several types of rooms on the sprawling complex.. The grounds are lovely..and groomed. ..we enjoyed the chickens! The camp-like room was average in size and furniture..the beds were comfortable, the refrigerator and AC worked...and did I say the room and bathroom are " Clean"! We never explored other parts of the estate. First, we had a difficult time getting our stay information from the owners, in fact, we never met anymore in charge. We found out about a breakfast offer late ...but believe only via their website. As Food was not expected...suggest you try Electra for breakfast. We planned for a coffee maker but had none.....and...a more comfortable chair would be helpful.

Did not eat at the facility The TV did not work and there was no outlet for the clock near the bed. Bed was a bit soft for us.

there was no breakfast. no amenities at all. Room was clean but smelled musty, old window unit. Staff barely spoke English- all Chinese. No television in room, no phone everything except the outdoors- property beautiful and it is a shame the rooms are beyond disappointing because this place has much potential if someone has the money and desire to fix it up

Beautiful view of Berkshire mountains from yard. Room and bathroom were clean. Good location, away from busy downtown area, but a short drive to restaurants and Tanglewood. One-person staff was always courteous. No food or beverages, other than a community hot water kettle, instant coffee and a Kuerig available in main house registration room, about a 100 yards, outside of the outer buildings where many rooms are. No amenities in room. Outdoor furniture was dirty. Noisy room AC worked on “fan” only. No housekeeping after the first day.
-
Organization of staff, cleanliness of room. Difficult to get to check-in area - haphazard. Walked through spiderwebs during the first pass of the room.

Our room was nice . There was NOOOO STAFF . Upon arrival , we shouted for 30 minutes into an empty property before someone came to check us into the worst room , not in the main house ,on the premises. We refused to stay in this dump . We were moved to the better room in a main house . The woman who checked us in then left for the entire three day stay, leaving us completely alone in a bad smelling very poorly maintained unlocked property .
