The location was okay. It's in the middle of an estate of flats so it's very residential but it was close to the lock which has some decent bars and restaurants. The bar staff were friendly. The bar was pleasant and served good value food. The rooms were so hot. Air conditioning is much needed and I was surprised that there wasn't any in a 4 star hotel. There was a fan provided but it was very loud and so could not be used at night and so I did not sleep well. I was allocated an accessible room and so the bathroom was a wet room which felt a little clinical - more like a hospital bathroom than a hotel.

Location of coffee items

Lovely hotel just no air conditioning
-
no fridge in the room

Staff were very friendly and helpful when another resident blocked my car in the car park Not value for money at all, room had no temperature control so was very hot with only a small fan, TV standby light was incredibly bright, another car blocked my car in the car park the systems at the hotel weren't in place to contact the driver so had to wait and hour while the person was located, delayed my departure and I missed an event at home due to the delay. Overall significantly under par for the price point

Our room was very spacious and clean with fresh bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities. There was bath towels and the bathroom was lovely

The location is excellent. Right in the city centre

Staff were brilliant, it was hot and they provided a fan and I requested a fridge which they brought promptly so we could have cold water. Room was spotless, beds comfy and a plentiful breakfast with helpful staff. Bar area was lovely and really nice cocktails made fresh. Tea and coffee on the room, water provided for the kettle and a couple of packets of biscuits. It was hot and no air con but that's not really the hotels fault. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable.

Location to City Center and easy access to get on the motorway This was my second time staying at this hotel. The first time breakfast was excellent, could not have asked for better. This time the breakfast was not up to standard bacon was undercooked, sausages were overcooked.

Great location, beds are super comfy, staff so welcoming and accommodating No air con in room but the window did open and we had a fan which definitely helped!

The noise that was coming from the next door where they kept opening and closing the doors in the early hours of the morning

It’s a lovely bright, clean hotel and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Nothing

We stay at the Clayton a fair bit and it's ideally situated for the city centre for shopping, drinking and eating. It's Yorkshire....where else would you want to be ?

The hotel was exceptionally noisy on the Saturday night. Music/DJ noise from private function was loud even in our hotel room. This prevented sleep. We were staying for my daughter to compete in a swim meet and the noise and lack of sleep/quiet to relax in was incredibly unhelpful
