The Hotel Gródek is located on a side street about a five minute walk from the old town main square in Kraków, Poland. It is a great location to explore the historic center where there are restaurants, bars, coffee shops, chocolate and souvenir shops and museums to visit. We stayed in the Hotel Gródek for three nights during a Rick Steves tour and for an additional night on our own. Our room on the third floor was bright and quiet. It had a comfortable bed, a hot water kettle and a large bathroom with plenty of hot water in the shower. A breakfast service was included during our stay and it was a real delight -- strong coffee, plenty of fresh bread, pastries and fruit, various meats and cheeses and smoked salmon to enjoy. The front desk staff were welcoming and spoke excellent English. They were also very helpful on two occasions. On one occasion, a front desk staff member helped us resolve a printing issue with our tickets to Auschwitz. On another occasion, a front desk staff member resolved an even more challenging issue: To connect our one extra night reservation with our tour reservation. Our one extra night room reservation wasn't for the same type of room that we had for three nights with the tour. We didn't want to pack up and move to another room in the hotel for just one night. We wanted to stay in the same room. After explaining our issue a front desk staff member, that same staff member came to our room a little later to assure us that our issue would be resolved that day. And it was! When we visit Kraków next time, we will stay here. Our only issue was with the hotel's Wi-Fi. In our room, it was generally weak and sometimes not available to use.

Proximity to old town We had to go up stairs to our bed. The bed was on a platform- so weird. Also, the small sofa in the room was worn out. They need to throw that thing away!

Staff friedliness and helpfulness. Old house with elegance and renovated.

The location, aesthetic and staff were all fantastic - a 5 minute walk from many cafes it was a great place to stay for a quick weekend getaway. Check in was good (we had to do late check in due to flights) and the staff were very accommodating. Overall would absolutely stay here again.

The continental breakfast was excellent and the rooms were very clean and the bed super comfy.

For the amount of money we pay I was expecting the room to be bigger and the bathroom in the better condition also the refrigerator inside was rusted that’s unacceptable .

We traveled to Krakow on a university alumni and friends community tour. With 20 different guests of all ages, there are many moving pieces and the hotel handled all the logistics perfectly. The staff were quick to respond and informative every step of the way. We're especially thankful to Konrad. The location could not have been better! Lovely place staffed with friendly people! Would definitely recommend.
