Nothing, really. So as it turns out, check in is online, and there is no staff (you enter via entering a code), but god forbid you show up a minute later - your PIN isn't valid anymore and you gotta pay 30 zl on top of it. So if your train arrives late, be ready to pay on top of the price you already paid, which is not cheap by the way. There are no towels and no soap - you gotta pay for it too. Making your bed is also your responsibility. Before our checkout time the next guest has already arrived just to be surprised that they paid extra for early check in and we are still there. Also, I suspect I got bitten by bed bugs. Oh, and there is a chance that the address you got on Booking is wrong - and you are forced to go around town looking for the right building.

Get totally different room. Bed in a dormitory instead of a room with private bathroom

Location Room smelled of cigarette smoke- I could not stay in the room (had to leave after 2hours)

The location was convenient, just 15 minutes walk from the Old Town. Walkable distance to train or possible with local bus. It was easy to check in and we were never bothered by anyone. Unfortunately, there was black mold in my room which caused me allergy and asthma symptoms. Additionally the walls were paper thin. I could hear every movement or noise from other rooms, even if the others were not being loud. The bed was all springs.

Kind and responsive staff who checked us in last minute. You can buy late checkout for 25pln which we LOVED. It was amazingly clean, I even saw the woman who worked there washing the duvets. The price was so fair. Room was spacious and stayed a cool temperature even though it was 25°+ outside so we had a restful sleep. You can keep your luggage there on checkout day for free til 8pm. I actually really loved the decor as well, it felt very cared for and thought through and turned what could've easily just been sold as a white box room into something with more interest and character. We liked everything! Bed was a tiny bit too squishy for us but we still slept very well.

I arrived at this hostel in the evening. After taking a shower I was brushing my teeth and noticed a staff member of the hostel checking all the showers and cleaning up. I was happy to see that. Also, because I had to go to the airport very early the next morning, I went to bed earlier than many of the other guests staying in the room but when they noticed that I was trying to sleep they quietened down and turned out the light right away. The door of the shower that I used didn't seal very well so water got on the floor and saturated the rug.

Superb

The room was very cold without any possibility to warm it up. I needed to sleep with gloves on my hands. At the morning I wanted to take a hot shower, but the boiler was not working. Therefore I had to take a cold shower.

Very good
-
Large clean room No staff onsite
-
Very good location Floor was dirty, no control of people who entered dorms
-
Clean room That you need to pay for almost everything, even for a towel
-
Very good location, and in general, the apartment was nice and cosy. The walls are very thin and you can hear every small noise from the other rooms. You have to pay separately for a towel.
-
Nice location, not far away from the bus/train station. Easy check-in. The sofa could be more comfortable and long
-
Great location on a peaceful street and high ceilings with a lot of light even though it was the first floor. Easy check-in and a nice old building. Quite clean overall. The bed was quite uncomfortable, there was no stove or oven, the shower head was broken and the sink in my room made terrible noises on its own.
-
Plenty of space in our room, self-check in, really quiet No coathanger, only one key for 5 people.

Passable

Comfy beds, good location. Everything was charged - towels, late check out (even if you arrived at night), etc. I was surprised that they didn’t took money for toilet paper, stepping into the bed or taking the shower.. :) for that value of money its ridiculous.

Nice and close to Old Town and central Krakow, easy to find and fairly secure. Not presented very nice inside but for the price you get what you pay for. No staff/reception only contactable through booking app.
