Renovated in summer 2021 and located in a location beside Lake Schwarzsee, Alpenhotel Kitzbühel am Schwarzsee - 4 Sterne offers traditional Austrian and Mediterranean cuisine, and rooms with a balcony and a flat-screen cable TV. Free Wi-Fi is available. The center of Kitzbühel is 1.2 mi away. The rooms and suites feature modern furniture, a seating area, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Guests can relax in the Alpenhotel’s wellness area with pool, lake sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, sun deck, etc. Massages can also be booked here. The à la carte restaurant has a sun terrace and a year-round lounge area overlooking the lake. Full buffet breakfasts are provided in the mornings. Great rather new hotel - beautiful location at the lake, stunning architecture and design - if you like it, wonderfully spacious spa area, breakfast very good as well, things and appliances at the hotel just work, train station to get into Kitzbühel is super handy etc. Wonderful hotel as such, however - see below... Bar personnel really not friendly, restaurant and in room dining closes at 9:30pm so after that time you really get nothing to eat anymore... this is not funny! And it's not the most centrally located hotel in Kitzbühel; quality of "software" (i.e., bathrobes, and bed sheets/bedding) is quite terrible as it's probably artificial garments or the like; spa closes at 7pm in the evening, and only opens again at 1pm - why?!?!

Hotel was top, nothing to add or to remove, If Sauna and Pool can work longer as 19:00 it is benefit as current working time is limiting us, as we ski until 18:00 and then arrive in hotel we need to run for dinner ( until 20;00 ) and we cant use any facility in hotel as Pool and sauna is already closed.

Breakfast was amazing. The spa was clean and an amazing space to relax. The hotel is located quite far from everything. Spent a small fortune on taxis. There were quite a lot of insects in the room. The towels were too small.

Truly exceptional staff , so friendly and attentive. Beautiful property and accommodation very comfortable and well situated. We had a car which though not essential was a great help and parking undercover convenient and easy Food very generous and variable , we used the gym too which was excellent We thought staying in the Steghaus meant we would eat there . It wasn’t a problem but we soon discovered half board meant we would eat in the main hotel . Wine list was comprehensive but we were suprised there was no desert wine offer

Very friendly and welcoming staff, attentive and competent, from reception to service in the restaurant to the spa. Rooms are beautiful, especially in the Steghaus. Excellent food. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was nice with great selection. Rooms and design are great. This would be a nice hotel as a couple but it is definitely not a family friendly hotel. Staff, guests, and lake club members all felt unwelcoming to children (8 and 13). Location is somewhat inconvenient in relation to town.

The hotel is situated in beautiful nature surrounded by mountains, forests, meadows and a lake. Everything fits into a wonderful concept and is in complete harmony with nature. The hotel was modernized in 2021, has incredibly beautiful and comfortable rooms and offers endless possibilities for social and sports activities, primarily water sports, skiing and mountain biking. The area around the hotel primarily encourages these activities, it is simply amazing. Amazing 6-course gastronomy and pleasant staff perfectly create pleasant well-being, relaxation and wonderful moments of rest. I highly recommend it to everyone. ZS

Large, tastefully-decorated rooms. (I had what they call a Penthouse, which has two floors and easily sleeps 4.) Overall very impressive public areas. Extensive spa. As far as room and physical facilities are concerned, Alpenhotel far exceeds most 5-star resorts I've recently stayed in. Staff are bright and efficient. Poor meal options. Only one restaurant, with three choices for main course at lunch or dinner. The management may have made a business decision not to describe itself as 5-Star, so that it need not offer much in the way of dining options. It also has no laundry service, which is truly surprising. Room should have an easy chair for extended reading or relaxing.
