Mpoufidis Rock House Meteora

The most obvious is the location. Right at the beggining of a road to monasteries. It's a family operated place. We had nice conversation witht the son of the owner who gave us some useful tips. Place was very quiet, clean. The pool was great with a nice view. Overall very happy with our stay and would love to return.

The owner was very kind. The premises also appeared to be a family owned business with family photos and religious icons giving a glimpse of the culture.

I loved the place and location, it’s very close of all the monasteries and the pool has views to the rocks and it’s very beautiful and interesting to see it at night

The room was nice and the common parts on the 1st floor with the rooms. The location was perfect. It was super durty on the parter floor where the reception was and the tables for serving the breakfast. There were big dogs which were very annoying and even disturbing for our dog which is small breed. Only one power plug in the room, not enough lights.

A small fridge and a catlle would be more than welcomed, though we were able to use their facilities like a freezer. Late check-out was a plus.

Room service was poor. There should have been glasses for water, some drinks and a small fridge in the room in case they were needed during the night.

The location was really good. There were no shampoos and the towel weren't in the best condition.

It was very dirty, with old and uncomfortable furniture.

It's close to the monasteries. It has a nice balcony. Pet friendly. There's enough space to park. The staff was nowhere to be found and when found was really grumpy and unfriendly. Room is not exceptional but it's okay for the price.

Great host. Offered hot water to make our own coffee as nothing open when we we up as was last days of October. Provided cork screw to open a wine we purchased from the Monasteries. The room is of good size and great views from balcony. Couple of nights is a great stay. It is a room with ensuite. Was a lovey stay. Many thanks for your guidance on how to visit the monasteries. Could have a jug to boil water as we carry our own coffee instead of reaching out and asking. The shower is interesting as has a high part and low part of the bathtub so makes an interesting way to shower. It works and the water was warm.

I loved the feel of coming home very simple, traditional facilities, amazing price… Theordor who owns the place is the sweetest most accommodating host. the location is stunning, and peaceful. we had the most amazing time.

We arrived at 6 PM and the rooms weren't ready. When we got in the room it wasn't very clean: no any kind of soup; the towels were still wet and we had to ask the owner for another ones. The bath tub was terrible, very small and uncomfortable. The shower head and shower faucet were broken. Batroom door lock broken as well. Some of the light bulbs did not work and there was only one outlet in the entire room. The room was full of flies because the doors and windows were wide open and outside on the deck there was uncleaned table with food.The bed was super uncomfortable so we did not get enough rest. No any hangers for our cloths. The blankets were absolutely out of order laying down in the cabinet. The owners were talking very loudly all the time until late night. We will never come back to this hotel.
