AYANA Resort Bali

I arrived with high expectations after hearing so much about this hotel, and there's a lot to admire. The cliffside views are stunning, and the variety of pools is exceptional. It genuinely feels like a small town rather than a hotel. Booking restaurants was easy, the gym is fully equipped, and impressively, they still accommodated a late checkout even when fully booked, which bumped up my rating. That said, the overall experience felt more like a theme park than a premium resort, possibly due to visiting during a very busy period. Breakfast queues were so long that we gave up on the buffet entirely and went elsewhere. If you don't get to the pool by 10am, you're unlikely to find a sun lounger until sunset, and most pools were packed with kids throwing balls around, which became tiresome when it was the case at nearly every pool. The shuttle system to get to the restaurants around the property was genuinely chaotic. Guests queued behind ropes with no staff managing the line, and when the tram arrived, it turned into a frenzy of people piling in, so much so that some who'd queued up first didn't even make it on. Reservations across the board, including at the spa, felt like an assembly line: queue up, get your allotted slot, and move on. Overall, a good resort with a lot to offer, but it fell short of the exclusive, premium experience I'd expected based on all the social media buzz.

Only the activities for kids was good Extremely rude staff and Spa ruined the whole experience for us. They don’t know how to greet with smile in talassoterapy session. The communication level of staff is very poor and annoying. The fact that we had 2 rooms and one room was for my kids and they wanted to charge me for the pen mark on the chair. The first day I found huge worms in my room when I reach out to guest service they told me it’s normal which is not true! My last day I woke up and found so many small insects in the closet on the sheets in the toilet. This place doesn’t feel luxuries at all

When I checked in, the staff advised me to pay a deposit and assured me that it would be refunded after checkout. However, when I checked out, I was told that the refund would take around 14 days. After 14 days had passed, I emailed to follow up, and they then informed me that weekends and holidays were not included in that timeframe. Now, more than 14 business days have passed, and I still have not received my deposit back. This is extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable.

We stayed at Ayana resort and the manicure facilities are amazing, everything from the different restaurants to choose from, the pools, the museum, the service, the friendly staff I like everything

Everything beautiful, from the moment we arrived until we left. Amazing property with the nicest staff. Must watch sunset at the Rock bar.

Brewok Band at After Rock bar was amazing entertainment and staff were as well Had to repeat ourselves 3-4 times on the phone when we needed something. I know accents may be challenging to understand but maybe there needs to be higher proficiency in speaking English by people who answer calls. Also the cost of resort food and drink was over the top expensive. Value for money wasn’t really there. We’ve returned to Sofitel Nusa Dua because we feel and experience the value of money but wouldn’t return to Ayana as didn’t feel it was comparable

Nice resort, however they charge you even for breathing there, like for every little detail… overprice and really crowded all the time.

Facilities were great, scenary was spectacular. It was very expensive and any additional add-on's like a spare bed, extra charge for additional person (even for a child) is payable. There should be more flexibility.

Amazing location, ocean views, clean grounds, variety of restaurants and roof decks bars to choose from. Private beach exclusive to guests only. Different pools to enjoy. Also a golf course to play on. What’s there to not like….Everything about the property was beautiful!!

The property itself is great, there are shops around the resort and it’s very nice to spend your time in. Food, the water in the shower smells so bad it took several attempts for me to get the smell off me Inconsistent service as I stay there every year however this year was extremely disappointing
