WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham Jacksonville Deerwood Pk

Very close to a lot of hot spots and things to do. Clean room and very great for price The billing policy is weird. There’s a hold for the total of the booking. Then a charge per night of the stay. It was just really confusing. 250$ quickly turned into 600$ worth of “holds” and “pending charges “ which I think is a bit unnecessary. I guess that’s a corporate thing not really much to do with the staff and the overall experience at the facility.

The washer and dryer in the king suite was great! John at the desk was very helpful!

Mostly everything minus a couple of staff members I would like to express that, overall, it is a pleasant establishment, and the majority of the staff members are very agreeable. However, I encountered some staff members who appeared to be biased and seemed intent on causing difficulties for me, whether through fees, informing my son he could not walk through the lobby without a shirt, withholding my packages instead of placing them in a locker, and various other minor issues.

Mark and Dee at front desk helped me when I had a family emergency and had to modify my reservation.

Beautiful property and rooms!

Everything was clean and the staff were nice. The only problem that I had was that my card was charged for the deposit more than it should have been.

My first time staying at a Waterwalk Hotel. Everything was great. However I did see 1 or 2 little creepy crawlers, but it is to be expected since you can cook in the rooms. Did have a slight problem with the shower( but maintenance came& fixed the problem) the pool wasnt open the first day we arrived( had to be cleaned), but after that it was open everyday

The room amenities were a real plus. The pots and pans were high quality for cooking! This hotel thought of everything! I love the book lending area and game night. (Even though I was not there long enough to partake.) If I had the need for an extended stay/working from home out of town, this hotel would be my FIRST choice!! One of my socks found a ball of someone's hair that was on the floor. A dust buster across the floor might help find those kind of things during cleaning. The coffee maker downstairs in the lobby, those things never work. I think hotels should stop using them and use an old fashion coffee dispenser.

I made the reservation for my daughter who is attending the university of North Florida, but could not move into her dorm until the 15th. Twice I specifically asked the front desk. People one was named John if there was anything specific I needed to do so that she could be the one in the room stating she is a student under 21 and I was concerned about her having any issues at check-in as she was already nervous we were told we had to complete a credit card authorization form with her credit card which we did and submitted it on Saturday the eighth. I received an email saying it was received by the hotel on Monday the 10th at 6:00 AM. I received the full charge on my card even though we had already submitted her authorization. I called John who assured me they would get it corrected right away and she would not have any issue checking in because he did see our card authorization but was unsure why I did not get changed to her not mine. My daughter arrived at 5 PM that afternoon only to be told by Miss D she couldn’t check in because she was under 21 at which point my daughter went into the car and the parking lot crying, scared, and nervous because she had nowhere to stay for the next five days. I called the property after she called me and explained that I was told twice she would have no issue D was apologetic, but nevertheless, my daughter did not stay at that property and was turned away it. Well, I understand the policy and I am clear on why they have it It’s unfortunate that everyone at that property is not familiar with their policy and cause this issue for my daughter.

Definitely recommend for patients needing close accommodations to Mayo, its just a short drive . The property is very clean, professional staff, and well maintained grounds. Also great for families as they offer 2br units complete with washer and dryer and full kitchen. Very affordable

The property was super clean and staff was very friendly! Coffee maker in lobby consistently wasn’t working, not that big of a deal, had coffee pot in the room!

The only thing I didn’t like was that the couch was not a pull-out sleeper, which would have been a nice addition. Also, breakfast is not served at the property, so keep that in mind when planning your stay. Overall, it was a nice, well-maintained property, and I would consider staying here again.
