The breakfast was amazingly delicious! Mensura made delicious food and ensured we tried the Turkish food. Our favorite was the beet salad!

The staff were all very helpful, and made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast was a good mixture of local and standard fare, in the rooftop dining room (looking out over the Sea of Marmara). The hotel's location is in a quiet neighborhood, but close to the Blue Mosque and other major tourist sites. Although we were not impacted, anyone planning to stay at this hotel should be aware that the rooftop dining room is only accessible via stairs.

It is a lovely little hotel. The location is great, and the breakfast on the terrace is super delicioius with a fantastic view. We liked it so much we stayed again after our tour of Turquie, and would go back again. thanks!

This hotel is located in a quiet area. If you like staying in a very gorgeous and charming old Turkish home-full of antiques-this hotel is for you !!! I liked everything about the property. We were treated so well. Excellent service.

We LOVED the hotel. The staff is wonderful and they treat you like family. We also loved the roof top terrace for breakfast and then drinks in the evening. The breakfast was outstanding and had so many choices. The location is walkable to all of the main sites. If I were to stay again, I would be sure to book a room with a larger bed than the small double bed. Not sure if they offer bigger beds, but that would be my suggestion for those who are used to a king size bed.

Loved the sea view and the full Turkish breakfast. Also the staff was very welcoming and helpful with restaurant recommendations, calling transportation and general questions. Showers were nice and hot. Location couldn’t be better. Lots of comfy pillows and bed. Plenty of room. Beautiful lace works on the top sheet of the bed. I would have preferred fitted sheets on the bed, but it wasn’t worth asking for those at midnight when I discovered it.

The breakfast was very tasty and served on the rooftop terrace with a nice view. The staff were super-friendly and welcoming. The building is a historical house which added to the charm.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable hotel. The most delicious breakfast is served on the terrace with the sea view! All staff are kind, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay again if I come to Istanbul. Nothing!

Great location. Walking distance to the main attractions, including the historic Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazar. Terrace cafe is nice. A bit dated, but perhaps that’s what they are trying to preserve.

The breakfast was wonderful. And location is great We be had the corner suite, so it was not as small as regular room. There is one bed plus a sofa/day bed. And it was not made as a bed. We had to do it and ask for sheets

We had some very odd interactions with staff that left us with a disappointing experience. The service was not as helpful or friendly as other reviewers indicated. Perhaps this is because we were two female travelers, but perhaps that will be a helpful warning for other female travelers in the future.

Glad I booked this hotel! From the initial, professional and friendly meeting/hotel orientation/greeting with delicious tea, to the nice room and comfortable bed and good-sized bathroom, to the wonderful fresh breakfast up on the charming terrace with those fantastic views (something to really look forward to!!), the friendly staff, a clean and quiet environment, period architectural integrity and details plus the traditional Ottoman/French decor that added to the historic feel of the hotel. Not to mention they offer (extra) a mini-sampler meal I believe until 10:30pm, which was perfect for me plus I ordered a glass of wine with it!...as I arrived later than planned after a delay at the airport plus I had a tiring long day arriving from another part of Türkiye and had no energy to go out. They also have great restaurant recommendations nearby of which one I went to during my stay and was delicious. As mentioned online, the location is close to the main sites by an easy walk, yet situated in a quiet neighborhood away from the many tourists. Shops and restaurants to explore nearby. I stayed here as a single tourist, and yet was able spend lots of time with my NY friends who were staying in another district of the Old City 15 minutes walk away. For my departure, I let them book my ride to IST airport (to catch flight for my next Türkiye destination). I stayed here four nights.

Second visit to Dersaadet. Excellent location. Clean and comfortable. Walking distance to Hippodrome, Mosques, public transportation, and restaurants. Excellent breakfast in view of Blue Mosque. Multiple Turkish food items at breakfast buffet. Outstanding staff, desk, housekeeping, breakfast staff. Warm and welcoming. Staff really makes for a positive stay. Always helpful. No negatives to report
