Travelodge by Wyndham Iowa City

Door handle was broken on first room, and key did not work. I asked for a different room. Key still did not work on second room. When I finally got a key that worked for the second room, it was 50 minutes later. Then when I finally did get in the room, it was a smoking room and I had reserved a non-smoking room. Very poor experience overall.

Beautiful rooms and amenities. Competitive prices. Definitely would stay again.

Convenient location Room temperature was awful. The air conditioner did not seem to remove any humidity so everything was very damp. No coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was pitiful. Only waffles and cereal. No protein.

Other than she couldn't find my reservation when I got there. The first room that we got smelled terrible of dog pee and must. So we switched rooms and it seemed a little better until we got back later in the room was terrible. Terrible smell. We even left the windows open the ac on, and the fan going, did not feel very clean, even laying on the bed, or even to take a shower like what was actually cleaned and what did they clean with? It was very uncomfortable staying there, but too late to do anything about it. One other family complained of it smelling like cigar, really bad to, i will never stay here again.

Location next to Interstate. The room smelled like mildew and wet dog. We went and bought spray. They need to shampoo the carpets. Our grout had signs of mildew. The breakfast was not good at all. Nothing was refilled once it ran out. For what people pay the breakfast should be better. No orange juice available. Tables were dirty.

The facilities were clean for the most part. You could tell that there was new carpet and paint and fixtures throughout the property. The rooms were extremely musty and moldy smelling. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. We asked to switch to a different room and the new room smelled terribly musty and moldy as well. When we left the property all of our clothes and bags smelled musty and moldy. It was very hard to sleep with the very dated wall ac units as the were extremely noisy and they would also blow the curtains open. To top it off the pillows that were offered on the bed were small square mini pillows. Only 3 of them for a double bed. I would expect these things from a $125 stay but not a place that cost me $250 a night. I will never stay there again or use booking.com as I feel reviews arent accurate and pricing was increased unreasonably.

Room was clean, I just didn’t like the smell of the cleaning product they use.

Beds were comfy. How the pool is designed since I have a 4 year old. Cleanliness- bathroom had hair all over the shower, old chewed up piece of gum on top of mirror, and small garbage pieces in corner

Not an elaborate breakfast, but clean and well maintained. The room smelled.good and was clean.

Hotel is dated. Was fine to just sleep for the night but definitely over priced for a Saturday night. Could have stayed downtown for the same price and higher quality hotel.

I did not stay here. One hour before check in they texted me to say they had no hot water. I cancelled my reservation and they said they would not charge me but I think they did. I did not stay there - no hot water.

No hot water, which I do appreciate being told ahead of time. The room smelled awful, like dirty feet or something. The sink barely drained.
