Villa Porta Maestra

The location was perfect, and Stefani (and Nina) were fabulous! Porta Maestra is a historically significant location and when they renovated the building, they found Roman ruins underneath which are now on display. The rooms are beautiful and modern and the air conditioning is great (and needed!). And they provide beach towels which is so helpful. We also really enjoyed the wine and olive oil tasting. It was all great!

The property was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The location was perfect and the service was excellent and highly personalized. Stefani was incredible and treated us like family. Thank you for making our visit so special Stefani! If we could rate the property / service higher than 5 / 5 or 10 / 10, we would! This was an absolutely perfect stay and we look forward to coming back.

Property was exceptionally clean. Super conveniently located. Stefani was so helpful and kind! Helped us with our bags and met us at the ferry. She had lots of good recommendations. It was super comfortable and the Dyson hairdryer was much appreciated! The home made breakfast was sooo good. Excellent service and so kind!! We looked forward to it daily. They definitely covered all the small details you would want. We also purchased some wine that was delicious! Nothing really…. It was amazing.

The property manager, Stefani, was at the property when I arrived and extremely welcoming. Collecting my keys was a breeze, and she was a wealth of knowledge on local activities. The apartment was immaculate, and the location could not have been better. Best stay in Croatia!

We booked the two bedroom apartment and it was lovely! It was perfectly decorated and there were so many thoughtful touches including welcome cookies and cold water in the fridge. It is a short easy walk from the ferry and there are many great restaurants and things to do nearby. The included breakfast was at a little restaurant across the alleyway and was lovely as well. If we ever return to Hvar, we will definitely try and book Villa Porta Maestra again!

Stefani was wonderful! She met us at the ferry, helped with luggage, gave us restaurant referrals, took all our bags to our apartment with lots of stairs, and made a dinner reservation for us after she was off work! We loved everything, except their coffee. We really have no complaints

everything is absolutely incredible. Perfect location, the apartment was gorgeous and felt like a dream. The team was so helpful and helped me prepare a surprise for my partners birthday when I mentioned it. They also gave us the best recommendations and even suggested a restaurant they booked for us. This is a must stay!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Porta Maestra.The apartment is in a beautiful old building in an excellent location right off the main square.Very walkable. Beautiful renovation with charming details but every convenience we could ask for! Stefani was amazing! Assisted with bookings for day trips and always available for recommendations and any help needed. Shout out to Rosa and the fantastic breakfast provided in the next door restaurant.Highly recommend! We had a truly great stay!

Our stay was very nice. The apartment was big and nicely decorated with a modern mid-century vibe. There was plenty of room for storage. We felt right at home. The toiletries, steamer and hair dryer were all top notch. Our host, Steafani, met us at the ferry and helped us to get to the property with all of our luggage. The breakfast, which was just a few short steps away, was great! The location was in the heart of all the action but it was quite loud in the evenings making it tough to sleep. We stayed for three nights, but no one came to clean-dishes were left in the sink, towels not replenished etc... The manager could have been a little more attentive during our stay-taking initiative to inquire about whether we needed anything or offer suggestions instead of waiting for us to reach out.

Perfectly situated and quite comfy!

Villa Porta Maestra was clean, comfortable and makes you feel right at home. If you might have forgotten something on your trip then they most likely have it already in the villa for you (literally from a Dyson hair dryer, lady products, scissors etc). The location is really convenient and walking distance from great food spots as well as the ferry. Truly loved our stay here. Stefani was a great host too!!

It was the most stunning property I have ever been to. Right next to everything. The character of the building was beautiful with much detail. I will only stay here when coming to Hvar.

Breakfast was run by a restaurant across the road and was very delicious - yogurt, fruit, bread and eggs to order. Stefani was helpful throughout the visit and let us store our bags for a few hours after checkout. No suggestions

Villa Porta Maestra was one of our favourite stays in Croatia. The location is fantastic, right off of the square. We had the 2-bedroom apartment which was beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable for our family of four. Wonderful touches like fruit, snacks and water were a welcome treat when we arrived. Breakfast is delicious and served just a few steps away at an adjacent restaurant. The building is historic, and has a small museum housing original tile flooring from 89 AD and other artifacts dating back to 400 BC. A very special place!
