Comfort Inn & Suites Huntington Beach

The keys kept giving us problems and the hot tub was pretty hot the first day we stayed but after the first day it started to give issue and wasn’t as hot. And the free breakfast was really good and the location was perfect , the only thing was the keys were not the best. We had to replace the keys multiple times because we could not get in our room. We would stand outside our door waiting for a new key and stood outside attempting to open it multiple times.

Don’t waste your time. We Paid for early check in and spent 30 minutes attempting to get into the room ands key cards did not work. Had to go to front desk twice to fix it. Once in, the room was very warm and moist, not out of the normal for a room by the beach. But once we into the bathroom, there was black mold covering the ceiling and walls into the shower. We immediately alerted staff and dealt with the unfriendly front desk person once again. It was obvious they were short staffed so I remained friendly. The on site maintenance man was extremely nice and understanding, unlike the front desk and house keeping. When we came back down with all our stuff to transition to our new requested room, the FD person told us to wait in our room (guessing it was to avoid us talking about the situation in the lobby) but we politely said we’d wait in the lobby (they were Dusting the ceilings and black mold tends to stick to objects in the room) so I did not want to risk it. The new room was much better but still very janky, rusty metal all around the bathroom, dirty floors, etc. very unfortunate and uncomfortable experience and will not be staying here again. Just be warned

Great stay. Place was clean and in a great location. The balcony room was nice for some fresh air and pool was great for the hot summer days.

Family visit but I never stay again in this hotel because property not safety and not clean inside room and pillow and blanked smell terrible and look super old shower tub! Finally , never stay again ! Hopefully they will remodel if the owner read this! Location perfect ! Sorry to told the truth !

I HAVE RELATIVE COME VISIT I AM LIVING NEAR BY BUT VERY DISAPOITED I RESEVES ONLINE COME AND TRY CHECK IN SEE PROPERTY NOT CLEAN AND GIRL IS ASK MY INFO DONE GAVE ME KEY I HAVE BACK AND FARWARD 3 TIMES KEYS NOT EVEN OPEN THE ROOM I ASK NOT HAPPY WANT VOID MY INFO AND I AM NOT CHECK IN YET SHE WONT DO ANYTHING WE END UP VERY UPSAD AND WALK AWAY AND NEVER COME BACK WILL POSTED ON MY NET WORK FOR THIS INCENDENT. JUST ONE NIGHT BUT IS BAD EVERY FOR SERVISE ROOM ...ETC I TOOK ALL PICTURE WILL POSTED IN SOCAL MEDIA WHAT EXPERIAN I HAVE WHEN I HAVE TIMES.

location - is decent where you are close to ton of food options ; your right near jack in box :) staff - all are nice people breakfast - basic decent food room - stayed at the double kings tight space carpet floors felt sticky lol bath tub was leaking despite being off no maintenance worker available until later on the day - no time to wait and dont want people in my room while im out overall looking for a place to stay does it job. vibes- the hotel feel sketchy; due to other guess; u have families; randon people, high ass people lol. you will see what i mean when u stay there- parking lot has junk covered in tarp looks like a homeless person living there lol - the hotel has what it needs to function. But - i wouldn't stay there again!!

Customer service/front desk was horrible. She was not helpful at all, and was very dismissive. She would answer the phones while checking me in and would take the call and have me wait. She was not helpful with my check in, and with that I honestly did not want to stay.

Funky smells, they didn’t come to the maintenance on the AC.

Overall, it was a pleasant day. The continental breakfast facility could have been bigger. Long lines could have been more attentive on keeping stuff in stock during breakfast.

There were many people outside smoking pot. Someone pooped in parking lot and tracked through the walk way. Hot tub did not work and pool was dirty.

Positives about the property are: Good price, free parking, and breakfast is included daily.

The bed was fresh and comfortable. The property run down and the ice machine disgusting. Had to walk across the parking lot to the pool area. If I had children I would not have felt they were safe. Not enough food for the amount of visitors during the breakfast period. Receptionist was courteous but I could see she was overwhelmed by the amount of complaints she received in a short span of time.

parking is good. toilet IS NOT well especially toilet bowl. staff are friendly and helpful

The shower faucet was leaking, couldn’t sleep

First room we got the AC didn’t cool down. Got a second room and it was better but couldn’t sleep because neighbors were too loud and there was creaking every couple of mins from the ceiling

Our first room had an extremely strong smoke smell, despite the hotel advertising smoke-free rooms. We complained and were moved to a second room, only to find that the air conditioning was not working. When we brought this to the hotel’s attention, we were told there was nothing they could do and that we would have to wait until a technician could come in the morning. I was traveling with my 1-year-old child and my pregnant wife, so staying overnight in a room without functioning AC was not a reasonable option. We ended up having to leave and pay for another hotel. Despite being unable to provide us with a smoke-free room with functioning air conditioning—both of which were represented in the booking—the hotel refused to give us a refund. We gave them an opportunity to fix the situation, accepted a room change, and the replacement room had another major issue. We weren’t leaving because we changed our minds; we left because the hotel could not provide the room and amenities we paid for. Extremely disappointing experience and customer service. I would not recommend staying here.
