Great room, excellent spa and restaurant onsite.

Overall the hotel was nice. However, my room looked like it was a converted mechanical room. There was one overhead light in the room. The toilet was so close to a wall, that you had to sit at an angle. If they assign you room 321, I would reject it. Also, the parking was $60.00/ night.

I booked a night at Hotel Zaza for a staycation. I wanted to enjoy the pool, and a day without kids. Kiki and her poolside crew made the day so enjoyable, and I can’t wait to book my next stay. When she found out I was celebrating my birthday, she went above and beyond to make sure it was a celebration.

Great pool!
-
The hotel exceeded my expectations and the spa is the absolute best experience that I’ve ever had. Please visit if you have a chance.

Everything was nice about our stay.

The only downfall was going through the 3rd party we had a really late check in, not the usual 12pm. Once we arrived Chloe was great! She mad accommodations for our visit and made sure we understood everything that was available.

The Zaza is our home away from home anytime we wanna have a night or a weekend alone. This is the place we come to everyone’s friendly. It smells good. It has great vibes. The drinks and the food are always good. The shuttle service is pretty legit my favorite hotel in Houston by far.

Clean, reasonably priced, accommodating, helpful staff, great location.

Beautiful, great location, friendly staff. They do need to update their carpets around the property and to fix the elevators situations, but overall it was a great stay. Also having a private balcony was wonderful.

Wonderful beds!
-
The carpets were dirty. Even though I upgraded rooms, we had a low floor and a view of the roof air conditioning unit

Wonderful stay, very relaxing pool side!

Amazing atmosphere. Gem of a pool on hot days. Perfect location. Thank you for memorable stay!

A really outstanding hotel in an amazing location. We stayed three nights during the hottest days of the year (end of July), but every room was perfectly climate controlled. Each and every member of the staff we met was friendly and helpful without exception. The overall theme and common spaces were outstanding—we almost never hang out in hotel common areas, but we ended up spending several hours of our trip luxuriating in the mega-comfortable chairs, sipping spa fruit water (served 3–6 pm), and reading art books from their collection. A koi pond in the lobby was an extra nice touch. Our room was extremely quiet and comfortable. The Houston Museum of Fine Arts is literally a few steps from the front door, and the Houston Museum of Natural Science is just a few blocks away—walkable even in the crazy heat. We felt very safe in the neighborhood too. I would absolutely stay here again. For the quality of our experience, I’d even say the price was a bit lower than expected, even though it is admittedly an expensive property. Someday I’d love to stay in one of their theme rooms, but Expedia didn’t offer that option.

Only drawback for me — Valet is practically mandatory — not a fan. Otherwise, incredibly relaxed, not ostentatious at all, despite priciness. Highly recommend.

Room next to me was terribly loud all night my 2nd night. Finally called down to the front desk at 3am and they could hear the noise from the next room through the phone.
-
The hotel is amazing, but while I was there, the pool was very cloudy. In addition, $60 to valet my car and $30 amenity fee. These are BS fees!

I love the location and the vibe of the hotel Zaza, but I stayed a week this last visit and I was disappointed by some things. I had to call on two occasions to get my room cleaned when it was not done. And I had to call to get clean towels a couple of times. I do not think my sheets were changed until I called 5 days into my visit. I called to the front desk on 2 occasions and the issues discussed were not resolved and I had to call again. I had a great room with a view of the pool. The complimentary coffee and cookies were great. The bell staff and wait staff were great and the front desk staff who helped me were also great. I would stay there again, as the proximity to the medical center, the museums and Rice University was very convenient.
