The room and the pool The breakfast was okay but not the greatest

The location is great to walk to shops or restaurants. The bath house and spa was an amazing experience. Rooms and bathroom need remodeling but beds are comfortable and air conditioning works well. Hot water is plentiful and I would stay here again.

The location was great! Enjoyed sitting on the large covered entry, simply people watching. They had a band playing in the lobby in the evening, that was fun. The room/linens/bathroom were all clean, the room was fresh smelling & our window overlooked the city street below. The mattress was a bit worn but the pillows were great. We only encountered 1 staff member who seemed like he didn't really wanna be there, everyone else was very kind, friendly & accomodating. The hotel has 'hidden' fees...a resort fee. An extra fee for using a credit/debit card, extra parking fees etc. EVERYTHING is overpriced (drinks/dining/spa services, etc) & the hotel being 'historic' DEFINITELY shows. The room itself was a bit on the small size. The shower was about the size of a phone booth. Sink had a constant drip that could not be shut off. Bathroom is outdated (no vent fan), paint is peeling in various places throughout the room. Carpet is stained. The drapes could use s refreshing! You can't control the temperature in your room...it is controlled centrally for the entire hotel.

No microwave in room, loved the water stations for mineral water, the naan flatbread was delicious, loved the bands, limited ADA compliant,

Location Dirty smelly old room

Bar had great drinks (but expensive), pool did not have towels when we went and should have sign stating the deeper pool was on the top level. Parking was $$ , but in the town all are

The atmosphere is nice. Parking used to be free at the garage. It would be better just to increase the rates and issue free parking pass.

What a cool place to stay! We were only there for the night, but had a great time. Room 813 had a perfect view of downtown, and I would definitely ask for that room next time. We went out to get a bite to eat after checking in, and when we got back, there was a two man band performing in the lobby. They were amazing! We ate breakfast at The Pancake Shop across the street, and did a little shopping on Central Avenue before leaving. It was a really great experience. We will be back. The door situation was really weird. We had to ask Our neighbor to help us get into our room. He had a hard time as well.

Historical hotel in need of more restoration. Bathroom in my rental had black mold in shower and not up to any great standard in our time. No given amenities like coffee for guests, no refrigerator in room. You pay for the experience and anything you want. Parking is on your own up the street and you pay for it. Staff is great but you can tell that they are in lifetime jobs. More modern hotels up the street within walking distance. I’d stay again if it were the only option….

It’s old but charming - we love staying here
-
Cool area. Room key was literally a key Some stuff was neglected but they're working on it xD
-
I like the large porch and the professionalism of the reception desk staff. I did not like the bathroom. The sink did not have stopper to hold water and the porcelain was chipped on the sink and the bathtub.

Love this property

The Hotel is undergoing a major remodel, understaffed, not clean, letting things slide, some services not available and staff was not knowledgeable or helpful. Until the remodel is finished, you should probable stay somewhere else.
