There is a shōtengai (商店街) area across the street, and we discovered layers of underground shops around the station. The breakfast had limited options, and no food warmers were used. If you come later to avoid the rush, many of the food items were luke warm. A turn off of us, however likely a positive for the younger generations; we had to use a kiosk at the front desk to self-check in via versus having the desk staff perform this action. The kind and helpful staff helped guide us through the steps on the kiosk and after our long flight.

Wonderful staff. Terrific breakfast, and a great location. The beds are too hard. Also would be great to do like in Europe and give each person their own blanket.

The bed is sooo hard and the Wi-Fi died every couple of minutes and had to reconnect

The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and has free lockers on site if you arrive early before check in. The room was a typical compact Japanese room with a very firm bed. It was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was mostly Japanese food which was very good. We had dinner at a little bar out the front of the hotel which was wonderful. The bed was OK for one night, but I'm not sure how I would have gone for too much longer.

Excellent location from railway station, very clean and large rooms. Well equipped. A reasonable breakfast was provided free of charge. The beds were hard.

The location was close to the station and a nice 15-minute or so walk to Himeji Castle and Koko-en. The room was clean, the shower was nice, and the breakfast was free and tasty. Self-storage lockers were life-savers. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was too hard for me. My husband found it better than the futon at our previous stay (a ryokan), but I was the opposite. Being almost 6 months pregnant, laying on my side in this bed hurt far more than the futon at the ryokan did.

I had to pay for bath towels for my children. Even though I had them accounted for on the reservation.

Close to the station, easy to find, great location to restaurants and shops. Good breakfast and friendly/helpful staff. Can leave luggage locked after check out while still sightseeing. Room slightly small but overall good accommodation. Bed was a tad hard for my liking.
