Sri Lanka Beach House Hotel and SPA

Location was great, short tuk tuk into Hikkaduwa private location. Would love to give 10 but a few basic issues to address. Book direct through the company, Booking.com is so much more $$$ Had to constantly ask for amenities to be replaced, drinking water, toilet paper, towels, etc, room was not serviced for the whole 6 nights we stayed, no cutlery or crockery provided Hot shower not always available Property is in much need of some general maintenance eg deck and stairs need oiling etc

The fact that thry did not clean the pool and there is not water in the villa…

We loved this accommodation as it was private, relaxing and extremely comfortable. It was wonderful to have the pool outside our door and to relax and enjoy watching the birds in the palm trees, the sound and view of the beach and waves. The staff were helpful if needed but gave us plenty of privacy. A short tuktuk ride to Hikkaduwa, the turtles, great cafes, shopping etc. Or stay in and get room.service. Highly recommend a stay here.

The location is very nice as the Hotel is directly at the beach and also has a nice pool. You can easily drive to Hikkaduwa for ca 900 rupia and spend your day there. The staff is super friendly and food is organized flexible and quick. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect beachfront location, surrounded by beautiful coconut trees. The hotel itself was lovely, with spacious and spotless rooms. The pool was a great place to relax, offering stunning views of the beach through the swaying palms. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. Absolutely no complaints – a fantastic experience!

The beach cabana was beautiful with an impressive bedroom overlooking the ocean and a huge couch on the ground floor. Clean bathroom, coffee and tea for the first day, very quiet, nothing else on the beach. Kind manager but from a distance. Even though the manager was kind and tried to help, as he was not at the property, this was not possible. The employee that was there was from indifferent to rude. He was the only person that we met during our 3-week stay in Sri Lanka that never smiled! On our arrival it was our driver that had to tell him to help with the luggage and he called another employee to help. He always turned his back indifferently when around. We felt really unwelcomed. When we went to use the pool, as there was no space to sit apart from 2 tables that were in front of 2 rooms, we took 2 round cushions that were around. While we were in the pool he came and took them back in, but when we asked him where we could sit he just mumbled something and turned his back. We contacted the manager and asked where we could have dinner. The hotel is quite isolated with nothing around and upon our arrival nobody informed us on such practicalities. The manager (again far away) said that they could prepare a nice dinner for us and suggested a fish as the best dish! The fish came uncooked, frozen in the center, the crabs uncracked and when we asked for a cracker the guy from the reception told us to break them with the hands! I gave him one leg to show him that it was impossible and he tried it, taking them back to the kitchen and bringing the dish back with the crab parts just separated but impossible again to consume. Thankfully the manager did not charge for the 2 dishes but again we remained hungry for the night as there was no other option around! We asked for a transfer to the neighbouring beach that was charged way more than a Tuk Tuk! For such a hotel the service was inexcusably low to non existent! Even though the manager was kind, a hotel cannot be based on one person only, especially when he is not there!

It was a dream. Hem was super helpful, and the location was more than great, we ended up not doing everything we wanted to because we enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave There was nothing to dislike

Lovely location-and manager was fantastic & staff really tried to make the stay wonderful Not a lot to do nearby without travelling but this suited us to just relax-very close to the beach for a nice stroll.

the food here was exceptional , especially the Sri lankan breakfast and the fresh tropical juices , apart from this the team was really really responsive . hem and the team was just so fantastic at taking care of us. we were able to completely enjoy our stay and rewind and relax. hem was was very very nice to us in fact I fell sick and he helped us with getting essential medicines even late in the night and the team was also always on their toes with whatever we needed. overall the experience was amazing and we enjoyed the say. the bedrooms were phenomenally large , clean and very well maintained

Soft towels,big bed and powerful yet cold shower. No wifi in the room. I thought it was very overpriced. Basic breakfast, no cushions on the loungers. Your importance as a customer decreases day by day. Asking to clean the room the day before I left, I would expect everyday for the cost. I paid the price on booking.com, gave them more and wasn't offered any change. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend. Overall I've stayed in places alot cheaper that are better.

We were staying at beach bungalo, closest one to the ocean. So the atmosphere was really great: sound of waves, almost nobody on the beach. My wife and my daughter were very exited. Bungalo is really huge, and its very cool that bad is located on upper floor with great view on the ocean and beach. Very cozy and comfortable. In the evenings it was always rainy weather and we loved to watch heavy rain from the balcony in bedroom. Great dinners and breakfast for fairy price, everything was fresh and really tasty. I bet you cant it it all! Also its very easy to get to Hikkaduwa and others places, everything in 10 min on tuk tuk, but there is markets and small shops in village in 10 min walking, even wine store))) Especially thanks to Hem, hotel manager, he was always in touch, kind and tried to help with every question. Hotel staff was kind and polite, tried their best. Some water was dripping from the one of AC right on floor, but Hem managed everything and gies fixed this technical issue quickly.

Big space and comfortable beds. Wifi was very bad, only working on the beach. No clod things to drink on the property. Then they should order it from our side
