Shelbourne House

Sue was a brilliant host and everything about Shelbourne House was comfortable, welcoming, well-thought through and highly enjoyable. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable and had everything I needed. The bathroom light didn't turn out at one point, but seemed to be sorted out very quickly.

The hosts, Sue & Neil were so friendly & welcoming, lovely people. The property was very clean & comfortable & was in a superb location for the town. Breakfast was fantastic & Sue made sure that anything I wanted she got in for me. My room was spotless & the bed was great. Great value for money. I had a very small room with a very small shower sadly. But this was because the property was booked up. Everything else was great though.

Having thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shelbourne House last year, it never occurred to me to stay anywhere else in Harrogate. With Sue’s warm welcome and such a comfortable hotel, it was a ‘home from home’ and I was so relieved that I was able to get in. There aren’t any ‘downsides’ but I mustn’t forget to mention the lavish breakfasts, all ingredients locally sourced. I look forward to my next visit.

Easy to walk to and from the town. Bed was really comfy. Decor is lovely. The front garden is beautiful Keypads!

The friendly, helpful host and the comfortable room

We had a great stay at Shellbourne - location was perfect for a weekend spent exploring Harrogate, parking was reasonably easy round the corner (and parking permit included for the weekend), really lovely hosts and fantastic breakfast! The room had everything we needed, we especially appreciated the tea tray (complete with caramel wafers!), the hairdryer and the extremely comfortable beds. Thank you for a lovely stay!

My mum loved Harrogate and this was helped massively by her stay at Shelbourne House. The owners, Sue and Neil, were very friendly and helpful with her stay. The breakfast was delicious with good options and quality, and the location was very practical. I would recommend to anyone. The room is clean and pleasant. Locals in general very friendly too!

Sue was a fantastic host, very helpful and informative about places to see and help with our stay. Beautiful accommodation with all the facilities that one could require. Absolutely brilliant! There was nothing to dislike at all.

Lovely host, very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Perfect location for my visit to a conference in Harrogate with free regarding parking and delicious breakfast. Thanks Sue. Will book again if in Harrogate in the future. Nothing much really. One spotlight flickered in the ceiling above the bed. All the others were fine. There were table lamps either side of the bed which I preferred anyway. The light in the ensuite bathroom was lovely and bright. Perfect size room for single occupancy for me. Potentially a bit of a squeeze for 2 ?
