Tru By Hilton Harrisonburg, VA

Hotel was of good quality and the bed was comfortable. I had no idea what I was booking when a 'hearing' room was listed. Turns out this is a disabled room on the first floor. The hotel is located right by a few others and in an area with constant truck traffic which goes on all night. Very hard to get any sleep with all the noise from the roads surrounding the property.

The 3rd floor hallway smelled like dog urine. Also, the room close to the elevator 312 you constantly hear the pinging of the elevator door. My daughter was woke up by it.

Air-conditioning was very cold, I did not expect that. Beds were comfortable, showers were hot.

We stayed for three nights, and ate breakfast three times. The building was fairly new and well laid out. The people were very friendly. There was enough variety at breakfast that I didn't have to eat the same thing three days in a row. If the property has a fault, it was that the room was a bit small for two adults, one of whom is over 6'4" tall. We bumped into each other at times. I spent some time in the lobby, which was quiet with great seating options.

Tru is still a fairly new hotel and it still smells fresh as if it opened yesterday. We absolutely enjoyed our over night stay in a relaxing room fresh room. Check in was easy, receptionist was pleasant and informative. Shower in room, soap plus lotion was great. The gym and pool table was inviting if wanted little entertaining and we also loved being able to walk right next door to the Cracker Barrel for dinner or various choices close by. Everything went pretty well for us. The only con I would have is the breakfast was just OK for me. It could use minor upgrading for tastyness. All n all I'd still give 9/10.

The noise level made it hard to sleep- from doors that did not close quietly and every footstep was heard from overhead and in the hall

Room was clean, but shower door would not close, water leaks all over the floor. Super surprised that there was no coffee maker in these Hilton hotel rooms.

It was in close proximity to I 81. It was clean and the breakfast was good. I prefer a firmer mattress. The pillows were too soft.

There was no pool.

The room was clean. It was a little small but served its purpose. Staff was polite. The breakfast was better than many places with fresh fruit, a pancake machine, a warming tray of premade cheese omelets and sliced sausage, cereals, hard boiled eggs, etc.
