It was really exceptional, great room, bed, very helpful stuff and also, good restaurant with delicious and, actually, pretty cheap buffet. We were pleasantly surprised, and will return, for sure. -

Staff was very attentive Looks and feels a bit dated, staff hardly speaks any English (although this is the norm in China, so was expected), compared to other cities in China value for money is rather poor in all Harbin

Comfortable and spacious room, though not as big and comfortable as the King room. We returned for another night there after 5 days out of Harbin city. Toilets are small comparatively but is clean as always. The staff at the reception could be friendlier as her service attitude is not worthy of Sofitel’s high standard.

Spacious and well equipped room. Their shower has good water pressure. Location wise it’s next to a shopping mall and we are spoilt with different food options. The view from the room is also great! The furniture looks a bit tired.

1) Somebody smoked on non-smoking floor, the floor my room was. The smell was very strong in the hallway and even I could smell it in my room. 2) The room was not cleaned thoroughly daily. 3) The breakfast buffet had extreme limited items for people who needs gluten-free food due to medical, allergy conditions.

The only thing I found a little confusing about was the heater/ac. There are air purification systems in each room and no matter what I did the room had a cold feeling but it was comfortable

Pretty good hotel, convenient location, good service. Not really new renovation, but it works. The best thing is their washing machine and dryer, super good. Also the food delivery robot, very cool.. A bit tired look

Not much considering what one can expect from Sofitel Staff service at reception charging us more than our price without letting us know why, then telling us there was deposit when asked. Taking too long to get our deposit reversed. Reception staff not able to communicate in English in a hotel like Sofitel is unacceptable. Cooking staff service at breakfast, restaurant logistics and quality at breakfast: it was always a struggle to get our food due to crowd, we felt overall surroundings were dirty and old, cutleries were always missing. We were racing with Chinese tour groups to be able to get food. Unacceptable for a hotel like Sofitel. Room temperature was extremely hot and dry due to central heating being overdone. Far away location, we had to pay a lot of extra for ride hailing services. Bed shape was possible to change by a remote controller, but the remote didn't work half of the time forcing us to stay in a non sleep-able position and have to call staff to fix it. Bad quality of in-room coffee and soft drinks for Sofitel considering the price we paid Considering the daily rate we paid, we were disappointed by service provided overall.

Dedication of staff always helpful even if very little of them spoke English and we speak no Chinese. Room was spacious enough for us and a child. Clean. The restaurant staff made sure we tasted the best for the Christmas as we arrived late for dinner: we very much appreciated ! The pool lockers and changing rooms were very clean and classy. We received information that the swimming pool was closing the day before it actually closed it’s a bit short notice as we were really counting on it during our stay.
