The sheets has a few small stains on them. The shower water gets really hot sometimes.. like burning hot.

The location is great close to everything. And the room has a lot of charm for sure. Hotel was a recently refurbished building. Got old torn towels with holes in them. Contrary to most reviews the host was a bit too rude towards us. And that's an exception since we met the most kind hosts in Vietnam. Although the hotel was near empty our request for additional 30 minutes to pack bags was refused and the room demanded immediately. Pushy towards making additional sales. EDIT: Rating reduced from 7; after the owner sent many Whatsapp messages to my private number along with CCTV video of us at the venue. This is weird behavior which I have never witnessed before and a breach of privacy. Stay away from this place. Saw other reviews where guests had been DM'd by the host.

Nice room, but we did not have many amenities. Location is not bad, but needs to walk a bit to reach the busy old quarter feeling. We only stayed 1 night, so can not make a full review.

The room offers good value for the price. It’s cozy, thoughtfully designed, and has a pleasant view from the window. The location in the Old Quarter is very convenient. The owner is also friendly and supportive, which made the stay even more comfortable.

Amazing location in the heart of the old quarter. Very comfortable bed, and absolutely amazing staff that will go above & beyond to accommodate your needs. Loved my stay there.

Cute hotel in a nice area. There are so many things to do in the area. Walking distance to a lot of activities.

The staff, the room, the location. Everything was perfect for the type of vacation I did.

Someone was able to get into my room with their key. Luckily I was dressed but it was scary. They apologized, they were just at the wrong room. When I spoke to the manager they said they lost the others persons key and had to give them the master. This is obviously not safe. Also, the shower water didn’t drain so my bathroom floor was always completely wet and had to wear shoes to use the restroom.

Thomas and his wife provide excellent boutique rooms in a great location. Tomas is also a guru to get you the best price for activities around Hanoi and Vietnam in general. This is a great hotel!

Location was good. There were a lot of stores, restaurants, and local cafes + restaurants! Will definitely stay here again when we go to Vietnam :)

If you want to experience Hanoi's Old Quarter this is a perfect hotel in the mix of it all but if you prefer a place not in a busy area and be able to cross the streets easily then this is not the place for you. So the decision is yours of do you want to be in a busy area or quiet area.

Beyond the comfortable well insulated rooms that have a colonial fusion charm, it is the people that make this hotel experience exceptional. Thomas is a maestro in arranging incredibly good value tours and he an his charming wife make everything easy. The location of this hotel, with its views of the old water tower and a bustling intersection of Hanoi life, is perfect. Only that I had to leave.
