IntercityHotel Hamburg Dammtor

The location is great, especially if you are there for a congress. The facilities include everything you need. Breakfast is very diverse and there’s something for everyone. The barman was very kind and accommodating to our group. The cleaning service has to be requested everyday, that can be annoying. I had to insist to get new soap. For the price, expectations were a bit higher. Some of the members of reception staff weren’t very friendly nor interested in helping out when necessary.

Everything Nothing

10 minute walk from CCH and Dammtor train station.

Double bed is a bit small and not very comfortable.

May need to optimize the position of the chair for the small desk and the desk lamp. Too easy to kick the chair when walk around the bed....

Good breakfast good location No gym offered

Good location, central, a standard business hotel. Friendly and supportive staff, when you ask them. Missed to provide the promised anti-allergy beds, does not at all respond to any Booking.com-based chat/question. Cleaning is based on opt-in, instead of opt-out. Dirty carpet. Free WiFi only if you sign up for their club. Complicated car park charging process. A cold and uncomfortable breakfast area.

Excellent location. Simple, clean, well designed room. Big window. Big working desk and comfortable chair. Fast smooth check-in. Nothing to complain about.

Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean We booked a 4 person(!!) room for 2 people and only received a single (!) room key. On request for a second one we got the excuse of "due to the law we can only hand out a single key per room" which simple isn't true. There is no law that states that hotels are only allowed to hand out one key per room. It was a hassle and we changed hotels after the first night

I stayed at the hotel two years ago and had a disappointing experience. But now they have improved on all points: Bathroom was clean and better ventilated, breakfast had more fruit options, and the staff was friendlier and better organized. I will gladly come back. It's a trade fair hotel, so don't expect luxuries. The main selling point of the hotel is its closeness to the CCH and its price. Rooms are basic (but clean), carpet has seen better times, and breakfast variety is limited.

the bed was not flat, it was crooked on one side. so I had to sleep on the right side of bed. other then this hotel was good.

Location was perfect. Close to metro. Very clean and safe. No complaints.

The staff was nice, location is okay. Although it is a little too far from a buss stop or subway. But within walkable distance. Breakfasts are not good. The quality of food is bad and the variety is low.

Great staff Nothing

The check in kiosk wasn’t working, and my room request for two twin beds was not met, nor was there communication beforehand to let me know.

Hotel is very nice and at walking distance from the centre
