Location is centric but streets around filled with homeless and drunks/addicts. We arrived earlier and wanted to check in if there was an already cleaned room. The hotel owner however told us he would charge us for every hours, without even checking if rooms were ready.we ve had early checkins and such attitude we encountered 1st time

The staff at the hotel were pleasant and the breakfast buffet available was nice for a short stay. However the road the hotel is on did not feel safe and I checked out early to stay somewhere else. My uber driver said Hamburg is v safe apart from that one road. Unfortunate for the hotel team but I didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel at night and the day was a little sketchy. The bedding offered in the hotel room was v scratchy so found that uncomfortable.

Close to railway station, even though the neighbourhood is not the finest. Great, friendly staff, I had no problems with late arrival or staying in the common area for a few hours after check out. Breakfast was very basic but enough. Room was ok, photos are pretty accurate. The hotel is somewhat too expensive for what it offers, you can see it's quite old and unrenovated (this being said, Hamburg is an extremely expensive city when it comes to hotels). Bad noise isolation - while you don't hear street noises if you close the window, you can hear people in the corridor coming back from parties in the middle of the night. Also, stairs - not suitable for big luggage. Overall, nowhere near as bad as some reviews might suggest.
