Nice place to stay WiFi signal was not good in my room

I arrived at the hotel late at night, around 12:30 a.m. The man at the reception informed me that there was no running w

I was traveling solo, so I booked a single room and it indeed came with only a twin bed. A tiny room, but it had everything that one needs for one night stay. The location is great, as it's right across the street from the train station and within walking distance of downtown. The room was quite small with scaffolding in front of the window. Had a I stayed longer, it would have been a bit claustrophobic.

when checking in the guy was not friendly. the lady when i checked out was very nice though. also, a dirty towel was left with brown dots on it and i almost used it to dry my face

Location The rooms are not the one shown in photos , I got very small room size whereas in pictures it was looking good. Totally unpleasant experience.

Everything I like everything

Location and value were the real reasons i stayed there. I arrived late by train and leaving early the next day and this provided a cheap bridge overnight. It felt a little scary at night as a couple of times someone tried the door handle to get in. I had subsequently read this in other reviews. I had my suitcase up against the door just in case, and no one could get in but as a woman travelling alone this is a serious problem that should be urgently addressed.

Room advertised as ‘double’ looked nothing like the pictures on booking dot com. I told the staff they told me that’s exactly what I booked.

The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. First, the location is excellent—right in front of Hamburg’s main train station. My room had a great view of the station and the TV tower, which was fantastic. The room was very clean and well equipped, including a kettle with coffee and tea sachets, which was a nice touch. There was a bit of noise due to the busy location, but it was expected given the hotel’s proximity to the main train station and overall it was not a major issue.

Everything is perfect I like everything at the property

Supposedly there was construction going on, but we didn’t hear anything. Might be different depending on what room you’re staying in though.

Good location, very close to the main train station Hbf, it is just across the street, the city center, townhall is also near, around 10 min walk. I got a room with windows to the inner yard, which is good. If the windows are to the main street it might be a bit noisy. Reception is 24/7. Hotel is a bit oldish, need some renovation, do not expext much comfort there. The breakfast is very basic.

Small, single room but completely adequate for what i needed. Small bathroom with shower. Ideally situated across the road from the main station Continental breakfast needs attention. Lack of options available and breakfast room too small for busy hotel

Location. Breakfast, cold, not cleaned properly, didn't change the room when asked. In the February heating wasn't working and they didn't fixed it.

This hotel's best times date back to the early years of the last century, somewhere between the two world wars. It could have stayed that way and been maintained, and it would have been great in terms of cleanliness, but unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. The hotel has probably renewed the elevator and added TV antenna cables. Visually, you can see additional electrical wires so that electrical devices can be used somewhere. And that's it! Everything else in this hotel has seen the ups and downs of the last century. The room I was using could fit a bed and my suitcase. Unfortunately, there wasn't much space left for me, but I was able to use the suitcase as a staircase in this room, and I had to use the bed for all other purposes. Don't bother dragging yourself for breakfast, just go out of the hotel and right across the road is the Hamburg Central Railway Station where you can find everything, from delicious Starbucks coffee to a classic English breakfast, the hotel breakfast is a complete zero! But if I have to praise the hotel, it is of course the professional and friendly reception staff and the hotel's location. I stayed at the hotel for two nights and survived, and you too, if you want to experience something already forgotten. I saw and experienced a lot of forgotten old things - with a real key and a heavy copper key holder, a shower with hot and cold taps, without a mixer, etc., etc. But most importantly, I had good memories despite many inconveniences!

Excellent location to access public transport, literally 2 minutes walk from Hauptbahnof. Breakfast was excellent, although the breakfast room did get very crowded around 8.30pm. No tea / coffee facilities in room although some of the more expensive rooms did offer this. It's a shame that they don't offer this facility in all rooms. TV in room on the small side, but no real issue with that.

Very close to the station. Cheap. Clean .

This was such a quaint, practical, and pleasantly surprising stay for my family. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and everything you need is provided. The staff were mostly friendly and were clear on hotel policy and other helpful information. The breakfast in the morning was so tasty and we enjoyed waking up earlier to experience it. The location was superb (just across the street from Hamburg Hauptbanhof train station) and we felt safe. There was nothing I didn’t like.
