The hotel was very nice to upgrade our room to a sea view room on level 9 . Staff was helpful and have good customer advocacy skills. There is a mall that is 5 mins walk from the hotel Which we purchased local souvenir for friends n relatives. we also walk to the beach nearby the mall. And Hainan university which is near to night market which is patronised by youngster n university student is within walking distance from the hotel.

Great view, facing city over the bay. Great breakfast, great shower and others such as a dining table and a kitchen. The bed corners have hard, sharp steel. People are protected from a soft pad over the steel. Unfortunately, one pad fell off in my room, and I minorly hurt my lower leg. Good news is that it did not cause a serious infection from the wound. I reported the incident, and the soft pad was placed on shortly afterward. My recommendation to the hotel is that as part of the daily room cleaning routine, soft pads should be checked every time and every day by the cleaning staff. The bed corner without the soft pad is dangerous.

My family enjoyed their stay in InterContinental Haikou. Staff are super helpful to assist all our needs. Our flight at early morning next day and friendly staff helped us with late check out. The room was beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern luxury and local charm. Immaculately clean, spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the in-room amenities left nothing to be desired.

It is a beautiful place and the rooms are clean and generous in size. The staff was friendly and helpful (Frank even paid for our cab in his e-mailing app- we of course reimbursed him). The breakfast buffet has so many options and is amazing. There are also little touches such as in room amenities. My friends and I enjoyed our stay. There was some confusion about some of the local tourist areas and how to book them/get there. The staff gave us conflicting information. Maybe it would be good to have some brochures or other information that could help tourists. Other than that, a lovely place to stay!

It was amazing. We accidentally booked the city view room but decided to upgrade to the sea view and it was the best decision made! The room was spotless clean and the balcony really made our whole trip!

The location is absolutely impeccable! Loved that there was a pool with heated springs nearby. It was really nice to be able to take a dip and immediately jump into the springs. The gym is fully equipped. Facility is very clean and well maintained. Had an amazing time here Honestly would've been an absolute dream come true if they had a cold plunge next to the 3 hot springs. It's definitely not a deal breaker though

Every staff at the hotel was very helpful and efficient. We found the bed too small for 2 adults and they accommodated by setting up an extra single bed in the suite for us. Service is always very prompt and polite. No drama. We had a calm and very enjoyable time staying at the hotel. The free photoshoot was a bonus and very enjoyable too. The photos were great - it added to our good memories at Haikou. Thank you!

All stafffs are very helpful. They answered all questions politely and took extra miles to help to arrange transport and carry luggages. Breakfast are superb and excellent. So many varieties of foods to choose from they even have local Hainanese foods. Love it so much! Room are spacious and very clean too! Highly recommended! None

Staff Daisy Qiu went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, especially for our baby. She took great care to make sure we had everything we needed and was incredibly attentive throughout our trip, making the entire experience enjoyable and memorable. The hotel room is well designed, with great views of the sea. Really clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of good food choices.

Good that it is next to the waterway, gives us opportunity for walks. Not great in terms of facilities. Just an ordinary hotel. Could do better if front desk can speak English.
