You can use your passport, which is important, which is great, and the owner is kind, and a couple of kittens, which are adopted strays. That's fine.

The floor could have been cleaner/the corners could have been dusted more. The hostel is on top of a hill and thus is not the easiest to find, so a heads up in the description or via message would have been good.

The most important thing is that they accepted foreigners, a big problem in China. Location ok. Private room very basic, but adequate and good value for price.

The staff was friendly, and helped us find the place. Cheap prices. Great BBQ restaurant 火山烤肉 right below the hostel. Booked a double room with my partner. The bathroom roof was a bit leaky and the floor was always wet when you would walk inside. Also, the air conditioner didn't work. It turned on but could only blow air at room temperature. Dirty beds.
