Upon arrival at the hotel, the managers said the information on Booking.com was incorrect and asked for extra payment for a bed and breakfast for the third person. But again, special thanks to Marta for helping sort out misunderstanding with other managers.

Our stay at the InterContinental Guangzhou was excellent. One of the staff managers, Lee, took great care of us throughout our visit and was exceptionally helpful. His professionalism and attention made our experience smooth and enjoyable. Everything during our stay was well organized and up to expectations. The only minor issue was that the sauna temperature felt a bit low for us (around 70–79°C). This was handled by the spa team, not the reception staff, and it didn’t affect our overall impression of the hotel.

There is disgusting fully naked people in the swimming pool change rooms. The hotel management needs to bring strict rules immediately. I was with my child and he had to experience that disgusting moment. There were also other kids at the time. No shame, no moral. The hotel staff absolutely ignored this in a well known international hotel. I was fuming. The hotel manager said that they definitely will be bringing new rules. I hope they do.

The overall hotel is nice, with large spaces, welcoming friendly staff, large rooms and beautiful views. Our was 60 sqm and spacey. Breakfast really good, with a lot of food variety. Its impossible not to find something you like to eat. The bed and pillows of great quality making a sweet sleep. Many thanks to Marta (Roberts or Robins) , speaking great English and Spanish, who was always around reception and lobby area and helping us in any way we needed. Really a great asset for the hotel. The toiletries in the rooms were missing many times. We had to ask for it almost every day, and usually when refilled by the room made it was provided just 1 set of mini shower gel and shampoo, although we were 2 people in the room. Felt upsetting and cheap especially we paid almost 500 dollars per night (Canton Fair period always prices go high). The lobby is huge but not really cozy so it doesn't invite you to spend time for a drink there. Some plants would help I guess.

Location was great, the welcoming experience from the fair was amazing, made me feel like coming back home. The breakfast was amazing, wide variety of food and great value for money. Mr. Sing from the concierge was amazing!! The mattress was over used and the room cleaning was poor. The coffee and lobby desk were outrages.
