Guangdong Victory Hotel - Free shuttle bus to exhibition center during Canton Fair

I'll start with the staff very friendly and extremely helpful, we arrived 6:00am and they stored our luggage and which allowed us to explore the city and our room was ready at midday which allowed us to rest up, before going out. Breakfast is great, the hotel is beautiful, the room spacious well appointed, as well when we checked out they looked after our luggage to allow us to explore before we left late afternoon.

The best feature of this hotel is its location. Shamian Island it’s a former foreign neighborhood with pittoresque colonial style houses. Very boutique. Beautifully decorated interior. Rooms were spacious and for the most part clean ( depending on the room, sometimes it smells like cigarette and humidity- hence my review for an 8). But I talked to the staff and they accommodated me very quickly to a different room. Also the breakfast buffet is awesome.

Everything was good and location is perfect

It is well renovated. Location is not bad since we can walk a short distance and get to a park along the Pearl River. There are not many restaurants nearby.

The toilet has smell from the pipe. I have to always close the bathroom door otherwise the room smells horrible.

Great location. Great breakfast was offered, would have liked more choice of bread (Western) eg sourdough or brown instead of just processed white. Gym could have done with some free weights

The Gym is a joke. There is no equipment . Th swimming pool that they advertised is not open and locked. The hotel is old. They advertised it as a historic hotel. However, there is no historic elements at all. I expect it looks like the He Ping Hotel in Shanghai. But I am disappointed. The window is tiny. There is no view at all out side the window. Overall, I don't like this hotel.

Location very convenient to everywhere. The room is very clean and the staff very good smile. Due to we are foreigner without china's phone number, we are not able to order food from app, service counter staff at the end also no idea how to settle the problem. Maybe due to security problem, they use indirectly way to reject helping order food at night.

I enjoyed my stay and will book this hotel again. Breakfast was excellent. I like everything.

Rooms were great with a good shower and comfortable bed. Good lighting for reading. Breakfast was good. Free laundry was great as was the massage services we tried.

one of the top 4star hotels in GZ i guess, nice staff, friendly, most of them can speak english fine. nice neighborhood and you can have a walk around the parks and theriver at night. a fairly nice pool on the roof. breakfast was very good and almost complete worth the stay

The location was great. It was convenient to the metro and was in a lovely old colonial neighborhood. The rooms and service were also very good. Some of the staff spoke English while others used a translation app. We were happily surprised to find a rooftop pool! The breakfast food was good but not as good as at some other places we stayed. We also had a bad experience with one dish at the restaurant. While it was peaceful staying in the Colonial District we also missed being more immersed in Chinese street life.

Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby and nice area to look around in. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast was good with plenty of options.

Lovely spot on the island and we loved the big showers and comfy room set up. It's hard to understand the room and hotel offerings unless you have WeChat.
