Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Gilbert

I tried to get a credit or refund for my stay and the manager denied my claim. I had to cancel my trip because of fires in my city of Reno NV. I am on evacuation watch and had to cancel my trip in PHX. Upset that the manager did not sympathize with my situation and I will not recommend this hotel for their lack of understanding.

When we arrived to our room, we discovered that our bath towels were very poor quality. The towels were frayed and very rough. Also, the bottle mounted next to the sink mirror was supposed to be lotion, but it was hair conditioner. We requested new towels and lotion bottle replacement from the front desk and they addressed it that day.

The location is great as far as being close to where I needed to be, dining, shopping etc. The breakfast was good. It was always very nice and well-kept and attended to. Coffee was nice to have early. We had a room that faced the 202 and if the a/c wasn’t on, the traffic noise was not good. Then when the a/c the unit rattled. The water pressure was not great.

Staff was very rude at check in. I requested connecting rooms, we were given rooms on separate floors. When I explained we had kids she said it wasn’t fixable. Said my booking was done online and I could contact them. She didn’t even make eye contact with us and was short and seemed annoyed or inconvenienced by us. I asked someone the next day if we could switch rooms and he did say we could have if I had asked before noon. Why would she not offer that ?? Super unimpressed.

Great staff and hotel!!

Bathroom had a consistent odd smell. We weren't sure if it was from the pipes or what. AC made a loud clicking sound when on. Everything else was as expected for a hotel. Breakfast wasn't impressive. We decided to go out instead the second day.

Pool could be bigger and it be nice if they sold alcohol at the front desk

The staff was so helpful and I wanted to goto the Ross Store and the staff told me that they were able to transport me to and back. Everything was good.

The toilet was stopped up on Saturday morning and when we left at 1:00 pm for a wedding I stopped at the front desk and told the man about it and he(Wes) said he would take care of it… We returned at 7:30 pm and it hadn’t been taken care of so I called the front desk and the lady said i’ll send someone right up… When maintenance came he said that the notice was given at 1:00 that afternoon and he just got notified. When I checked out on Sunday morning the same man was at the check in desk and I said to him,” The problem with the toilet in room 221 wasn’t taken care of and he said, oh they must have been busy.” He lied to me about it. I had my 88 year old mother with me who needed the toilet… Poor service in my book

Great Hotel. Staff very Friendly

The breakfast was nice , room was good but the water smelled bad coming from the bathroom facet . We did have a complaint for neighboring guest being way too loud and loud in the hallway as well after hours , called the front desk it was handled promptly at first but then it started back up again after. Had an early morning flight so got no sleep whatsoever! This was unfortunate. Pool was nice to use.
