ok location, but very busy for dropoffs, staff generally good, great effort by staff to move luggage up dangerous steps to bedroom We paid for the most expensive and largest room. All the alternatives were the same or smaller, So why would we accept that? Also we had a meeting with the staff regarding issues, followed up by appointment with the manager of the hotel, there was a further offer regarding a room that did not have stairs, but by this time we had decided to go somewhere else, too little too late. flat screen TV The TV we had initially was a Chinese TV, no way of setting up in English. smart TV did not allow us to watch prime, so waste of time really. Safety deposit box yep on a shelf, not secured, so just pick it up and take it with you, how is this secure? Dining area yep in your entrance area, sitting on a stool on your small benchtop. Premium Duplex suite ( we had the largest rooms available apparently) size 37 m2 apparently, but reality is a 6 m2 entrance and bathroom, and a 13-15m2 bedroom, no wardrobe, tiny room Spacious Room? approximately half the advertised size Kitchenette? kettle, no means of heating or cooking food, NOT a kitchenette by any standard Nowhere does it advise of the stairs which are dangerous, incompatible with WHS standards After advising booking.com and the business to disclose the dangerous stairs to future clients, no action has been taken, book this accommodation at your own risk The room type was advertised with no mention of how dangerous the stairway would be. The design is not safe for older people, or those with mobility issues, This should have been highlighted as a safety issue on your site clearly. The steps themselves do not conform to modern safety standards, only half my foot was in contact with the step when climbing, and I had to descend sideways to ensure safety was prioritized. clearly a dangerous procedure at night when wishing to visit bathroom. my booking said that I had a premium duplex suite, however it did not come close to the definition described:

Room has been very nicely renovated with modern amenities while preserving its previous history. Also liked the fact that it had two exits to two different streets and location was near all the restaurants and tourists spots. Nothing

location and room was lovely no problems to advise

Great location, very close to everything you need and tourist attractions. Family room was very large and comfortable. The age of the place definitely shows. The wallpaper in the room was a bit torn and the jacuzzi didnt turn on. There was nobody at reception when we arrived so we called the number. There was some confusion about the number belonging to the place, or maybe the person who answered couldn't hear/understand. We were later informed that there was only one person working so they had to check the rooms and couldn't be at reception.

The shower area was a little blocked and the soundproofing was poor

Staff were very friendly. Left luggage was very helpful. Bed was large and comfortable. We saw heard then saw rats in the lobby. Also our room was split across two levels with a steep staircase between the bathroom and bed, and no easy way of simply turning on a light to illuminate the stairs in the night so you had to either leave a light on or use a torch.

Cute room in a good location. Hot shower with good flow. Comfortable bed. The door lock to our room was extremely difficult to use every time. The fob to open the Beach Street entrance didn't work, and on occasion, the reception person didn't answer the intercom to let us in.

This location is convenient for walking to street art, cafes, restaurants, food courts, and bus stops. And this location is quite safe for travelers. And the staff are so friendly. This is my second visit here and the first for my family, so I booked a larger room than the previous time, so they situated the room on the first level; nevertheless, the wall and ceiling are fairly thin, so we can hear when people go by or on the second floor. So it's difficult to sleep soundly this time. And some guests step too hard, which is the worst thing.

Nice new rooms. Clean sheets as always. But the new semi fibre towels doesn’t feel as plush and absorbent. Street parking is easy to find. Decent food at the back of the hotel.

Decoration was nice The smell ?and parking ?

The only good thing about this place is the location. Requested Deluxe King Room and its was stated 204sqft with King Bed. Initial impression, the room reeks smell of mold. The room was so small and compact. No room to put luggage 20inch and no place to hang the clothes. No dresser provided, just a mirror on the wall. Only 1 metal rack with 4tier to put fridge, kettle, safe lock and hang clothes. The gap from bed to wall very small, just 30cm, difficult to move around. If you are staying just for 1 night its bearable, I guess, more than that, you will get annoyed with the space. If you have long legs, good Luck sitting on the toilet. The space to vanity table its ridiculously narrow. Please bring your own shampoo because their free toiletries only hand soap and body soap. The noise insulation is just as bad, heavy door installed but you can still hear people walking the narrow hallway and going up and down the stairs. Overall, I dont feel it's worth it .
