Everything about hotel was very nice .

Great service, very nice rooms, the rooftop bar was excellent. Had a great time. Nothing negative at all.

So disappointed, as I visited this beautiful historical hotel 30 years ago and absolutely loved it. Marriott has ruined it, in my opinion. I only had a deluxe double bed option room, but I really was okay with staying in that just to get a chance to see this historical gem. My tub was tiny, and the coating on the tub was coming up under my foot. The Rooftop restaurant was a huge disappointment. It's over 90 degrees, and the staff just kept leaving the door open to the deck, which made it incredibly difficult to eat in the humidity and heat indoors. I won't visit again at that price point. I thought my room came with robes, but when I called down, they corrected me and said only suites get bathrobes. Back in the day, any room at the Treemont House came with that small luxury. AC was not working very well in a stuffy room next to the stairwell. Noisy, and it seems they have some deal with the cruise lines, so you get to hear a bunch of drunks the night before they catch their cruise out on Sunday. Had a nice coffee in the cafe downstairs on my morning out, but other than that, I could get that at Sugar and Rye with a small walk. It was just amazing once upon a time, but the front desk staff was "snippy," and overall, guest relations seemed annoyed when I asked for more than one towel. Yikes, and at a price point over $400 a night, you could get a better stay on the seawall with a beautiful view of the ocean.

This is a beautiful hotel especially if you are going on a cruise. You can park your car while you leave on your cruise and they have food and everything you think you may need before you leave. I booked on Expedia due to the rudeness of the staff when I was trying to book with them directly. The front desk lied and said they were booked for the days I needed and didn’t have parking available . When I showed up they stated they had plenty of rooms available and parking. They didn’t do a thing to acknowledge whatever staff I spoke to. They did take the call time and said that helps them narrow down whomever I spoke to. The staff I encountered in person was nothing like whomever I spoke to on the phone.

The hotel and the room smells like mildew. The junior suite we had booked was not that impressive for the price. Hotel states there’s a shuttle to and from the port but don’t disclose that it costs $25 a person. When we arrived no one was there to help my 72 yr old father with bags and he had to carry them up the stairs by himself. Overall, an okay stay but the room did have a strong odor of mildew/mold.
