I admit the room was clean, bathroom and beds. But the room did have a bad smell. And it looks like the place needs some updating. Fine for the price.

I recently moved to Gaithersburg from another city and stayed at Studio 6 Extended Stay Gaithersburg South. I had initially planned to stay for only a few days until I could move into my new apartment, but due to some unexpected and uncertain circumstances, I ended up extending my stay for over a month. Throughout my time there, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful. The amenities were also very convenient, especially having a kitchen in the room and access to laundry facilities, which made a huge difference during such a long stay. Studio 6 was my first home in this new city, and it made my transition to Gaithersburg much easier and more comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and am very grateful to the wonderful staff for making my stay such a positive experience!

I didn't like anything, room was dirty, hallway was dirty, homeless people in the lobby, female escorts at the front of the building and people doing drugs also. Would not recommend at all.
-
Unfortunately this place was a mess. Hallways and lobby were dirty and smelled of smoke. Our flight was after midnight and I had called earlier to let them know. Although they hadn't actually kept the front desk open, someone did show up after a couple calls to check us in. The actual room was completely run down, but at least it was clean. It did what we needed for that weekend.

Unclean. No hot water. Found dog poo near elevator.

When I arrived, the woman at the front desk tried to charge me extra for housekeeping and utilities ... The property was also filthy, and the outdoor area was not maintained (the weeds were higher than the plants). Zero stars, and would not recommend that anyone stay here!
-
The property is filthy and horribly managed. The grounds are overgrown and there is little to no sign of a cleaning staff. The elevator looks like a garage floor with so much dirt and mud. The rooms are unsanitary, with first, stains and grime everywhere. I was moved to three different rooms in two days and although there were slight improvements from room to room, none of them were acceptable. Appliances didn’t work, no bulbs in the lamps, air conditioning units not powering on. I will NEVER stay at this location or brand again. I’ll be writing a letter to the franchise owner and the brand to inform them of my experience with image and video documentation.

it’s a little noisy… the room is okay but the bed is not comfortable..overall it’s pretty decent specially with the price.

Got a room with a kitchen but the stove didn't work. The was no dishes or pots and pans. And smelled of someone smoking dope

I booked this place thinking it was an Extended Stay America hotel, but it is not — it’s a Motel 6. While the room itself was passable, the overall experience was overshadowed by the condition of the common areas. The lobby and hallways were noticeably dirty — stained carpet, grimy floors, and an overall lack of upkeep that made me uncomfortable touching anything on the way to my room. It immediately set a negative tone.Inside the room, things appeared cleaner, but not enough to feel fully at ease. The laminate flooring looked fine at first glance, yet I still wouldn’t walk barefoot because I could feel a layer of grime through my socks. It’s hard to relax when you’re constantly trying to avoid surfaces. There was no toilet paper in my room. I was told they had run out and was handed a box of tissue paper instead. To top things off, there was no hot water in the morning, so I had to take a cold shower. I reported this to the person at the desk and was told they were having boiler issues. The water problem was resolved the next day.If the motel invested even minimal effort into maintaining the shared spaces and deep‑cleaning the floors, the stay would feel significantly better. As it stands, the cleanliness issues in the hallways and lobby make it difficult to recommend, even though the room itself wasn’t terrible.

Very nice staff, very helpful clean the areas everything was very clean

They are charging random fees that are supposed to be included in the nightly rental. Beware off two Rent fees. They charge for staying there.
-
A bunch of sketchy activity at the property, drug deals happening and just all around so unsafe. I’ve never stayed at a place and feared for myself and sleep only when the sun came up.
-
It’s old and outdated, it smelled disgusting My opinion- it should be renovated
-
Super friendly staff; room was very clean A little “dated” and areas could use a refresh

If the alternative is sleeping in a car or on the street with you family the. This is better for sure. But for someone needing a quick 2 night stay and good rest... Specially single females, not the place to be. I called next morning bc when I left and was going to check out (one night of two was enough I cut the stay short) no one was at plexy glass protected front desk They didn't dispute my refund so I'll give them that too.
