Bourbon Thermas Eco Resort Cataratas do Iguaçu

We came in a group with two rooms and three children. The hotel has good territory and comfortable rooms overall. Breakfast included in the price was excellent. The main reason is the fact that during the 5 day stay they had renovation starting drilling at 6am right above our heads and when we asked to start later they told us they cannot do anything. We found a HUGE cockroaches in the room and realised that ventilation doesn’t have any nets and bathrooms had large air duct without any protection from rats or infects. When we called attention the ladies who came to clean had no idea what to do with them. They simply offered us another room and we had to move there without any help. The hotel offers full, half board and breakfast only. We chose breakfast only and for dinner had only one option - restaurant with buffet, paying 160 reais for children and adults - no differentiation. No option to have à la carte. The second restaurant that they had in theory was closed. There was no programme for kids during the stay. So our 9,10 and 11 yo where quite bored.

But I must say that we impressed the most by the food. Dinner was amazing! So was the service. They had a different theme for every dinner ( Italian, local, BBQ, etc) what kept it interesting and fun. The food was so delicious every night what we don't see often in hotel buffets. The staff was so dedicated to provide us the best experience! Thanks Gilberto,Antonio and all the restaurant team for the 6 great dinners we had along with you! The rooms are a bit dated, but comfortable and functional.

A short congress stay at the hotel. Great locations, staff friendly, food great, Wi-Fi quality good. Can recommend. Nothing really.

Amazing pool, sauna, spa, food, garden, property. Staff were very helpful.

Facility is very good. Breakfast is excellent. People are very friendly except many staffs do not speak or understand English. For a first class resort, it should at least provide a hot water kettle and 2 complementary bottle water in each room.

Staff were very helpful. Facilities were great. We only ate/drank at the pool bar once. and did not go back. The Italian restaurant was REALLY nice and as the resort is isolated from downtown (we had no car), having this Italian restaurant with great food really made the stay. Rooms were good and we had a balcony outlook over the pool, which was lovely. The turkish and dry sauna were really good. Everything was great. Try the lebanese restaurant in town, seriously good food. Bookings for the Italian restaurant need to be easier. We could not call or book online. Once i spoke to a man preparing tables before opening and asked for reservation, with number of people, room number, time. He did not make booking. Second time we asked concierge, with same details, to make booking. Again no reservation when we arrived. Luckily each time we arrived at 7 (opening) they fitted our large groups in. Also, the breakfast ran out of cha preto (black tea) every morning and could not seem to replace it. Us Europeans love our black tea. The same buffet breakfast range every day became a bit boring. Suggest that the hotel changes the options daily.

The location is good, rooms are ok. Some staff were really nice helping with some itinerary instructions and information. We liked a lot some of the entertainment options (bowling, Zoo, machine games, football pool) Dinner was disappointing, breakfast also. Small place for so many people, the food didn't have the minimum amount of alternatives, in fact first night was very poor the menu (second day was a little better , but still poor) Poor service at the bowling place, slow (40 min to bring a beer). Some games were close (archery) We didn't have the opportunity to have connected rooms with the kids

The location of the resort is also a major highlight, being close to the stunning Iguaçu Falls. It was convenient to visit this natural wonder and then return to the comfort of the resort. Overall, I highly recommend Bourbon Cataratas do Iguaçu Thermas Eco Resort for anyone looking for a luxurious and nature-filled retreat. My experience was marred by an issue with my booking. Due to a late flight, I was unable to check in on the first day of my reservation. I requested a refund for that night, which I had already paid for but did not stay. I also asked the reservation team at the resort to communicate with Booking.com to discuss the situation and support my refund request. Unfortunately, nothing happened, and my request was not addressed, which was disappointing. Overall, while the resort itself is excellent, my experience with their customer service regarding the refund was less than satisfactory. I hope they can improve on this aspect to provide a better experience for future guests.
