Excellent location and friendly, responsive staff. Be prepared for the 3 story climb daily (porter was not available when we arrived to help with our luggage). Be sure not to get one of the two front rooms at the top of the staircase! You hear everyone coming in all hours of the night and conversations at the front desk. Coffee, juice, and snacks provided throughout the day were an unexpected surprise.

The location was very near the duomo, and the Italian guy at the reception he was helpful and informative . There is a small terrace area with an amazing view to the duomo, perfect for a little colder evening, but difficult very narrow stairs to it. 1- wasn't aware that the hotel rooms are on the 3rd floor of a very old building without any elevators 2- the air-conditioning unit made a water accident that costed us to change the room and lose a sweater due to very big stain. 3- the toilet despite the renovation, it stinks of sewage smell. 4- the flush in the new room works 50% or less. 5- thin walls that makes you everything especially when there were noisy guests late in the evening and in the middle of the night

Didn't have water for a few hours one day, not a lot of in-room amenities, and three fights of stairs (no elevator)
-
4 th floor walk up was tough in the heat after a long day

Nothing really, it was beautiful.

Location The bathroom smells like sewer. The air conditioner doesn’t work. There are 5 flights of stairs and no elevator.

The property has a rooftop terrace that provided amazing views of the duomo. It’s a perfect place to watch the sunset. It’s centrally located and in walking distance to most attractions. It has a 24/7 water and coffee station. Our room was right next to the top of the stairs to enter the hotel. People would constantly bang suitcases or slam the entry door. This happened at all hours of the night. Bed was okay but on firm side. AC worked in our room but only got to a comfortable temperature. This may be because of the weather the weekend we were there.

good location a bit small the toilet is a bit smelly

The roof top deck is spectacular for watching the sunrise! The stairs!

Great location and terrace view. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There is NOT an elevator and it is on the 4th floor. While the staff was able to help up during check in, there was no one available during early check out. The room was clean but needs updating while the bathroom was updated and very clean.

Great location, easy, check-in, great coffee machine rooftop with amazing views. Right across the street from the La Giostra, which is a delicious restaurant.

Great location, value for money, great staff, drinks and snacks as part of the service.

Everything was perfect. The location is so central, our room was quiet. There are steps but...your in ITALY! Many buildings don't have elevators. The staff offered to carry luggage upon arrival and departure. The room itself was so clean, spacious enough for what we needed. Our room seemed recently updated as well. The staff was very helpful and gave us great recommendations. Loved our stay.

Excellent location, great staff, walking distance to all the historic places, very clean and well maintained. The little breakfast & refreshments provided was great!

My stay at Cardinal of Florence was fantastic. The location is perfect—the surrounding area is great with so many places to explore just steps away. The absolute highlight, however, is the veranda; the panoramic view of the entire city is simply breathtaking! The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. A lovely bonus is that while we didn't get the room with breakfast, they provide complimentary coffee and cookies, which was a very thoughtful touch. Highly recommend for the view alone!

Good location. Rooftop was cool

The hotel was close to all the tourist spots and the room was spacious and clean. The temperature in the room was also very easy to adjust (unlike other hotels in Italy I've stayed in), making my stay very comfortable. The staff were also very friendly and personable, making sure that you're having a great time. There was an older gentleman on staff at the front desk who assisted with my check-in (I didn't get his name); he was hilarious and is a great resource for anyone visiting Florence for the first time. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the greatest when I was visiting so I didn't get to hang out at the rooftop terrace for very long. But I would highly recommend anyone visiting to spend some time there as the views are breathtaking. The ad doesn't lie about the hotel being "for ages 25 to 55." Not recommended for people with mobility issues. That being said, the staff were very helpful when I needed help with carrying my luggage up and down the stairs.

Location and staff
-
Very comfortable and very kind, attentive staff. Perfect location near all great historical attractions and places to eat everywhere. Being an old building, you have to take stairs to the third floor to get to the hotel. No lift, but the staff kindly helps you with your luggage.

The location was very good, close to most of the important sites. You can walk everywhere from the hotel. Everything was good, but honestly if you can not climb stairs try a different hotel. Located at the 4th floor no elevator, other than that everything was perfect
